Hey all, I need some help... I bought a 2018 BX2680 earlier this year and everything was going great. Last week i was mowing the lawn for like an hour; then disengaged, set brake jumped off to pick up some trash and realized that I was in the mid and rear PTO position. Didn't think anything of it put it in the mid position only, engaged the PTO and it started right up started mowing again, went about 30' and the PTO shut off... I now can not get the PTO to engage!!!! Becoming frustrating as i have checked the seat safety switches and still can't get it to engage. The PTO is not seized up either... Tractor only has 97 hours on it would think it is something simple that I am overlooking???? Please any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Trying not to have to take it to the dealer but May be forced to!!! Thank You in advance...

I have to assume that you have tried to engage the PTO in the other spots? Sometimes if it is not all the way in the slected spot it may not engage.. just a thought..

I'd bet a case of beer on the fact that you have something blocking the oil passage to the PTO clutch. It's usually a little piece of silicone gasket material.

This could be true! But how does someone resolve the issue if that is the case?

edit: No bet here on that case of beer, but beer is tasting good in Pittsburgh area with temps in the mid 80s! (86 degrees).

Pull out your PTO clutch valve, clean the oil ports and reinstall, see attachment:

There are two levers.. one to select the PTO that you want to use, and the other to engage the PTO. Try moving them both around to see if it might be a linkage issue.

Could you please tell me the page number of the WSM illustration you posted?

In my BX2680 WSM illustration 5.2.2 is dealing with the front axle. I must not be looking in the correct place.

Thanks

Thanks for the page info. Sometimes I find the Kubota system confusing and the :Find" function in Acrobat has a hard time too.

Thank You for the information WGATOR!!! You were right as far as one of the pin holes being plugged with silicone... I took it apart today and found this piece of silicone blocking the pin hole port... I unclogged it and put it all back together, set it into the rear PTO position and it started spinning again, ran for about 30-45 seconds and then stopped again...

I believe i am on the right track now. Going to have to take it apart again and see what is blocking it now... May be another piece of silicone????
May need to do a Hydraulic Fluid Change also just to see if it purges the system and fixes everything!!!

I will keep you informed...

Thanks Again for all the help!!!
