1. tractor didnt come with beet Juice or weight (bad idea.) What should I get beet juice or wheel weights?

2. Tractor keeps dying on steep inclines, anyway to adjust the safety switch?

3. I have asked this a 10000 times so far, BUT... How do I change the Hoe from ISO to SAE controls? what lines where need to be changed?

-Please pause for a moment of silence dedicated to my wife's precious Japanese Maple. I WAS going to surprise her and transplant for her today. Oh, She we was surprised alright (and pissed off) - Poor Little fella, got snapped in half.

answers :

1st - beet juice or anything that you wish - CaCl2 is the heaviest per pound and the cheapest - buttttttttttt get tubes in the rears ! You can do this yourself using windshield washer fluid or RV antifreeze. Do your research and it is a breeze and will not cost you much,

2nd - going up or down steep inclines ? Keep your butt in the seat and it wont die!:D:) - I have never had a problem going up a hill, down I will agree - sliding forward in the seat will kick it off - seat belt time!!!!!!

and 3rd..............

really - I think you asked once (here)- and there was a several responses ............ and based on the other forums you have asked you have received the same responses:) IT CAN be done, but as others have said but not a great idea:

personally ......it would best to leave this one as is..........

If the seat safety switch is on the same side as on my L3901DT, leaning to the right to far will cause the engine to die. I was leaning to the right to check the clearance of the bucket and it kept dieing on me. Once I figured out what I was doing, I haven't killed it since.

Thank you. I am wearing the seatbeat but its there is no way to force myself back when going to hill. I keep killing the engine.

As far as the hoe, I see a lot of discussion, but still have yet to see a write up on it or anything that I was hoping for. I would hate to experiment with a new tractor, but really want the controls changed. I have read on other forums about other tractors that it is not wise to swap due to proportioning valves, but not about the bx25. Still not sure.

if you have the belt on and are using the reverse pedal you should be holding your self in place to keep the switch made up

I might need to disable the safety switch. I hate to do that, but I cant have it keep dying on me, and not be able to get it started.

Where is the MOD for increasing the Front loader force?

I have googled both the backhoe control, and FEL. While I see discussions about both, I dont see any post how to do it. If someone can direct me to them, I would be happy to create a video and post for the next guy.

As for the backhoe controls ,,, you haven't got the hang of them yet ? Yep, seems backwards at first , but doesn't take long to get used to .

Really dont need the gauge .....nice to have -to have a reference point, the 3 cent washers are worth their weight in gold!!! It is easy - somewhat of a PITA with the hoe in your way!:D:)
Does BXpanded just sell the shims? or do you need to buy the whole kit?

They sell the kit with everything included I believe. I had a gauge and quick disconnects laying around so I made my own and just bought an assortment of shims from Kubota.

I would not disable the switch. Pick up your seat, and look at the lever for the safety switch, you should be able to adjust it a little bit.

I ended up putting a jumper in the seat switch for the same reason. Also when doing fel work (back dragging) I would want to stand up for a second to get a better look and coundn't do it before.

OH NO! Last night I changed the controls to SAE. I also change the outriggers too.

LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! Now the backhoe makes sense. Instead of pushing one stick forward and pulling the other back, you pull both sticks back to dig. Much more intuitive, and IHMO the way things ought to be.

It is also worthy of mention that I personally have not noticed a performance impact in anyway. It operates like it was made that way.
