I've got a BX24 that I bought several years ago. Periodically, it won't start - even though I'm properly seated and the brake is on. I usually jiggle the seat, lift it forward and it starts. I located and pulled the switches that I found under the seat apart and cleaned them with alcohol. Everything was fine.
Today, the tractor will start with the brake off and me not sitting on it.
I'm ASSuming that my (or one of my) kill switches is malfunctioning. I located the seat kill switch - the tractor will start with no brake on and no weight on the seat. Slightly moving the PTO lever causes the tractor to shut off.
Are there more than 1 seat kill switch?
Should the tractor ever start when no brake and no one sitting on it?
