Hey all,

Out of the blue the throttle on my BX23s has just loosened up. Basically it just doesn't stay in place. If I throttle up it just drops down to idle. If I bungie it in place it runs fine. I haven't had time to follow the throttle linkage to see how it works, but I figured I'd at least ask here in the meantime in case someone else has already dealt with this.

Thanks

Just going by memory, there's a nut with another lock nut(?) in the linkage that causes this. Follow the linkage and you'll find it/them.

Been a common problem with the BX's. Many posts here on OTT about the same thing.

Seems like many have replaced one/both with nyloc nuts.

your memory is correct.

on my 2020 23s, i had to adjust it quite a few times within the first 50 hrs. hasnt come loose in a while now. pop off your battery cover, and you can access the bottom of the lever relatively easily

When I got mine it was super tight to even move the throttle. There’s a lock nut under behind it. You can loosen the lock nut and adjust and then tighten it back up. Easy fix.
