So I just nicely get started digging up a 35 year old bed of lillies, and BH fails ! Right joystick no longer connected to tractor !!!! Turns out the 'threaded boss' that's welded to the bracket #010,isn't !!! wished I'd taken pictures before I cleaned up the 2 pieces. Still can't figure out HOW it sheared off, there was 'black rust stain' on both parts.NO noticeable difference in joystick operation. Have to wait until mid next week to get the $25 part. I'll order two as my middle name is 'Noah'. I may try grinding the original weld off the back side, drill hole, align and weld them.

What the heck, how many hours are on your machine? That's a flipping assembly line flaw. I Hate reading of stuff like this.

A little over 1100 hrs.
I'm thinking water gets in between the 'threaded boss' where the rear bearing is and the hole in the bracket. The 'extension' of the boss, goes through the hole in the bracket, then welded on the back side

Man, that s#cks.

It could be worse, your middle name could have been Job(e).

Did you check the other #10 part?

That's on my list, after I get the tie rod end #070 OFF the bracket. I'm thinking K may have used threadlocker on it ??
Still curious as to HOW the 1/2" shaft section that the bearings are on sheared off.
It'd also be nice to move the tractor into the garage before the rain comes......

update. heated the tie rod end and it magically came undone. 7/16" not metric... actually got the tractor into garage after yanking on the control rods...
other #010 seems fine, will give it more 'rustcheck'. there's a small amount of 'endplay',which should be normal. Will order the #010 tomorrow, hopefully get it Wednesday, reassemble on Thursday...

It's fixed !!! Local Dealer ( Galer) had the part in STOCK !!! hmmmmm...
Took me longer to get the 2 rubber boots back in right than reassembling all the other parts.
Everything under the cover is well 'rustchecked', now on my list to check, often...
