curious was I , so I went to Kubotaparts to see what the cylinder looks like as I have 2019 BX23S, similar....
I can see how your most recent failure could have occoured and it's not a 'manufacturing defect'.Then again the original isn't either. 18 years of abuse, how many hours, how many turns ??
Power steering 'racks' are kinda complicated, not really designed for the abuse most people give them (turning lock to lock with a full bucket ...is a typical abuse )..
if you want to be really ,really 'upset' with a TRUE manunfacturing defect... by a 2 year old F150 and have BOTH tie rod ends 'pop off' . A KNOWN defect but NOT a safety issue so NO recall, cost for repair 100% of the owner of the truck......
Your BX23S takes the same part number cylinder, all BX series use the same replacement cylinder.

Do you blame your parents for your being forgetful at your age. After all, you inherited their genes, and your forgetfulness is a result of a defect in you. Why don't you just take a sledge hammer to the machine, and get all your frustrations out. Then drop it off at the scrap yard, and buy a yellow and green machine. I hear that the company has been around for a very long time, and it will come with a new warranty. When the warranty expires, you will probably have forgotten all about your 18 year old Kubota.
Well thanks for you rudely sarcastic reply. What you don't know is that this steering battle has been going on for at least 6 or 7 years. The first go round at the dealership cost me $1400. I told them I highly suspected the steering cylinder - and they thought i was full of it - so they replaced the steering pump. When their repair didn't even last a week - I took it back and they were gonna "make it right". That lasted another week. Just because the sign out front said Kubota doesn't mean the boys inside knew how to fix the problem. (I should add that the steering cylinder issue was posted all over this forum - but hey, it's the internet - and therefore it's all lies!)

Then I got slammed in the hospital due to some kind of respiratory virus. A full week. The bills definitely curtailed any further 'investment' in the tractor. From there - cancer struck. Four months of radiation - and even more medical bills - and bud, I was completely worn out. Prostate cancer is no joke and no fun.

So take your snarky sarcasm and shove it.
