Took starter out and jumped started from tractor battery. Starter never got enough RPM, high current draw. Another bad starter? Will have a load test on battery. Thanks for your assistance.Resistance checks of the wire can be inconclusive. Need to do a voltage drop test before touching anything.
do you have a DVOM (volt meter)? If so, take one lead and put on the positive battery terminal. Take the other lead and put it on the starter lug where the cable from battery attaches. Crank the engine and watch the voltage. If you have more then .5 volts then you have high resistance in the positive cable. If that’s good do the same from negative terminal to the frame.Took starter out and jumped started from tractor battery. Starter never got enough RPM, high current draw. Another bad starter?
