BX1880 and my guess is that I’ve gotten air in the fuel line.

Last winter fuel filter, gelled up on one of our cold snaps. I pulled it off and replaced it and all summer long. Once the motor gets hot, it wants to quit on me RPMs drop down to 1000 idles rough as can be. I’ve tried everything that I can to bleed the line. Wondering if anybody has any suggestions

First place to start is by asking if you replaced both fuel filters? There are two of them. One is under the tractor and the other is in the engine bay. after that next step is to check your fuel. Is it clean and fresh?

No I did not replace both fuel filters I will be getting the second on Monday. The real kicker is there is only 88 hrs on the machine how dirty could the filter have gotten?

It does not take much debris to clog a filter. Since you are changing the other one you may want to change both of them just to be sure to rule out any possibility of the one you already replaced being clogged up. The filters are cheap so changing both at the same time rules out that as the source of your problem.

When fuel gels it makes wax-like stuff that's nasty.

I honestly don't know if all that crap dissolves when warmed without the help of Diesel 911 or similar product.

Just guessing the front filter could be your issue.

I see you're in Virginia. Not as cold as upstate New York.

Up here, diesel is sold as a "winter blend" after November 1. Not sure if the same applies down there.

For future reference, I recommend you treat your fuel with an additive for winter operation. I use Power Service in the white bottle for winter operation. My fuel containers need refilling shortly, and will be dosed with the anti-gel additive, as it's still summer blend fuel.

Refill of my containers after that should be winter blend.

Once fuel gels, it has to be heated up to around 150° to get disolved back into the fuel.
RCW is right, Diesle 911 will disolve the parafin back into the fuel.
