I have been unsuccessful in tracking down specs for the 3 pt hitch. What I am after is the maximum useful length of the hitch arm.

No, I want to know the maximum safe length the right lift arm can be at on my BX2380
They are not adjustable are they? Generally right and left arms would be the same length.

Do you mean lift rods? (Not sure if that is the correct term for the vertical rods that cause tilting of an implement.)

Henro,

I wonder if he wants to modify to angle something on the horizontal plane....

Side links is the correct term- adjustable and fixed side links.

I am adding a box blade for driveway construction and maintenance on our property and I will be wanting to adjust the right side link (lift arm) from level. I'm also looking into a diy box leveller for that link.

I don’t have the information you asked for but will ask a couple of questions and provide you with a solution to the request (maybe).

Is one lift rod adjustable already or are both sides solid rods? If you have a adjustable one then you can adjust it to the shortest and longest length and measure it to know the lengths.

if both are fixed length then you may be able to buy the adjustable one from the dealer but I don’t think you can get one from after market. You could try to get one fabricated using the ends of yours and get it made so there is some up and down adjustment. There is probably about a 6 inch adjustment total, 3 inches up and 3 inches down from level.

I don't know the answer. But you can adjust it as far as it will let you. I think there's a stop to prevent you going too far. You could replace the fixed length rod on the left with another adjustable one. But I don't think the geometry will let you tilt it that far without damaging something.

You can have adjustable side links on both sides, if you like. There's no reason that you can't. Weavers Compact Tractor Parts sells hand crank adjustable side links. I bought one for my 790, and it's been great. I had to do some adapting for it to fit, but nothing major- just sleeves. I can adjust it from the seat. I've considered getting a second one for the other side.

When I sort out the adjustment range of the right link then I will be looking to Weavers to source the new adjustable side link and make the mods as shown on YouTube threads. The goal is too more easily adjust the box blade up or down from leve3l. I appreciate all the replies.

On BX's the right side link/lift arm is adjustable so you can tilt the attachment in one direction or the other. It has several inches of travel using a threaded turnbuckle type adjustment. Not a huge range of motion, I seem to recall my BX could tilt a box blade so one side was 4 - 6 inches higher than the other.

Correct. the range of motion on the BX2380 right side lift arm is from 15" to 12-1/2" which is much shorter than either of the Weaver products

You can also use hydraulic cylinders to adjust the box blade.

look into top and tilt for more information and you will need to have rear hydraulic valves of some sort

Will be interesting to see how something like that works on such a small tractor. Hope it gets the job done for you!

I have a BX23S basically the same model as yours. When I was grading my property with the box blade I tilted it using the stock adjustable link on the right side of the lift arms. I was able to get it to the point where only the very end of the BB would engage the ground. I dont see how getting it to go any farther than that would do any good! The more you tilt it only the far end of the BB engages the ground. You will just be digging a narrow trench with the very end of the BB at that point.
