In the thread about changing the BX 3-point to position control, someone mentioned adding an indicator instead. I decided to add a pointer in the slot intended for the optional rear remotes. Today, I got the pointer made and mounted. The pointer is attached to a delrin plastic piece that pivots on an aluminum post. It will be moved by a sleeved cable (choke cable) hooked to the 3-point rocker shaft arm.

The indicator works. The cable attaches to the lift arm with a plate held by a U-bolt. I made a cable clamp that is mounted to the backhoe subframe using an existing oval hole and a couple fender washers.

Thanks guys. I’m going to shorten the pointer and add some graduations and possibly an adjustable reference marker.

This looks to be a handy addition, maybe it will also work on my 2023 BX23S.

How has it been working out for you?

Thanks for sharing.

To be honest, I don’t even use it. I don’t have any rear implements that I need to set to a specific repeatable height. I only made it to see if it would work.

For a moment, after reading your reply, I thought Runs With Scissors might be posting covertly under a different name… :ROFLMAO:
