While I have never seen one my self Im sure someone does, though it might be more expedient to rent a stump grinder and a lot cheaper too

Your kind of damned if you do, damned if you don't with a stump grinder:rolleyes: looked into renting one last year. All the big name rental company's around here quit carrying them do to maintainance headaches. Found a decent one in little rock from a smaller rental company that was a self propelled walk behind that was articulated. Had a 3 month waiting list, with weather issues you were looking at probably 5 months. Ended up renting a small one from home depot for 2 weekends. Ground 130 plus stumps. But by the end of the afternoon i could hardly move. If you rent the small one, make sure and have a young strong back to operate it;)

I second that ! A buddy of mine and I rented a ditch witch.....about the time you thought you were getting somewhere, you'd hit a rock or root and damn near break your wrist or arm in the kick back.....I was sore for two days after that 8 hour event and 600 feet later!:p

Spent 300$ on rental, save 3600$ for not having someone else come in. After that second weekend i was wishing i paid the 3900$:D

At $6000+, definitely rent! I'm not all that sure you tractor could handle one of those. Rent the grinder, then drive through town and find a guy with a "Will work for food" sign...

Thanks everyone I'll probably rent, but I'm going to see if the Sharver SC25 will work on it and how much it will cost. Thanks again all.
