Something get in there that should not have? Stick? Rock?

Pull belt off of fan, any unusual play in the fan movement?

The shroud could have moved too, where on the shroud did the blades make contact? Top? left or right? or bottom?

Could the radiator have shifted to the point where the shroud was pushed into the blades? Looking at mine - this would be tough to do!

Could the water pump be at fault ? Looking at the engine - the engine can move slightly on it's mounts, but it would have to move a great deal to hit the shroud.

Pictures are worth those 1,000 words!:) Here is my BX-25D.....there is about 3/8 of an inch between the shroud and fan tip. (sorry -little fuzzy on pic)

I'm thinking motor mount fastening issue myself. Looked at my BX25D and see no immediate reason that is likely to happen. If something other than a mount issue is found, please share it........my tractor is maybe too young yet to have developed the problem yours has. Thanks, Chuck
