My LP BB1560 has the full strength scarifier adjustable height mount system. Slide them up or down and pin them through with 5/8" pins, that also get spring clipped to hold from slipping out.
Not a flimsy setup.

Got the box blade picked up and adjusted on the Kubota.

You will find that a good rear blade is better for snow removal than a box blade. I had both and got rid of the box blade because I didn’t use it. Box blades are great for leveling dirt or gravel, but not very useful for cutting and cleaning ditches or doing snow removal. You can’t angle them to deposit snow on the side of the road or pulling gravel from ditches back on the road. But if you’re going to buy a box blade get one that will be a few inches wider than your wheels on both sides.

I have a KK box blade that I bought new 9 years ago.
The box blade has never seen dirt!

Yup I removed them to try it in snow. I didn't want them flipped up rattling around.

I have a Land Pride BB2560. I have been very happy with it, however I have only used it a few times.

I picked it specifically because it did not have those "ridiculous clips" .

Thread kinda hijack. Whats the overall opinion on the units available down at tractor supply? Significantly cheaper than the(not lightweight version) land pride.

I've been doing a ton of research of different brands of rear blades and box blades. Sadly a few of them seem exactly the same just different colors and stickers with jacked up prices. If you look closely at welds and support you can see some differences. This used kk for 400.00 looks exactly like a 900.00 taylor way one from the dealer. Granted it seems like kk isn't built like it used to be but I also read stories of guys bending land pride and Frontier blades.

Another update.

We finally had measurable snow. We were in a winterstorm warning all day, schools and businesses closed. 5 to 11 inches expected 40 mph winds.........it really didn't get bad until lunch time. Got maybe 4 inches. I tried the rear box blade. Many pros of it like taking the snow where I wanted it instead of just tossing it, a nice finish look, can back tight to buildings, and can push the snow up into the pile. A couple of cons was I like to plow the shoulder of the road so the plow can't toss anything back into the driveway, and plowing the neighbors 200 yard drifting driveway the box filled up, there was some snow sticking to it but I brushed on waste oil inside and it seemed to help. There's going to be another storm coming this weekend so I might put the straight blade on just to see what is best but imo for my use I like the box blade so far.

Another update to the up date. The 1st storm was about 4 inches of wet heavy snow. It packed into the boxblade.... good and bad. I have a good rhythm going where I go up to the pile, lift, back up then push it up. Over night we unexpectedly got 3 inches of light fluffy snow. I'd go maybe 50 ft and the box filled up and spent more time chasing over flow. I switched back to the rear blade. With everything frozen it glided well over the driveway and even though I don't like throwing everything to the side, it really sped up the process. The box blade has it's place and will be okay in a pinch.
