My 2008 mx5100 has showed signs of the battery going south this morning it wouldn't crank without a boost. What do I need to look for in a replacement battery?

Thanks for that info I'll stay away from the low CCA batteries.Take the old one out ....measure it's physical size on the outside, some battery places have very tight fits- go to the store and buy the same size or similar size external shape.....but with the HIGHEST CCA you wish to pay for. Higher cold cranking available amps is what you are looking to buy. Check carefully the warranty.....some word it in such a way that 3 years down the road....they will give you 10% off the price of a new one, some will replace the battery after one year ....and so on!
Charge the new battery before placing too - a sloooow trickle charge not a high amp charge. Many batteries sit on a shelf a bit, thus losing a bit a charge![]()
+1 on that comment too!!! Aint nothing like GOING BACK to the store again.....to get the posts where you need them!!!When you shop for the replacement battery make sure that the positive and negative terminal posts are on the same side as your old battery. Size is not all that matters.
