Hello all ,6 yrs and battery was weak starting this am. Sure it's time for one cables tight ,no corrosion. What is the battery that would be the best to replace the factory battery,did the search thing and didn't get a lot of info. So if you have done this what did you use. Silly question I know . Thanks in advance and good luck on all your projects.

I'd find the cheapest one I could find with the same or better rating than the one in the tractor. Maybe at Walmart. IMO, there is not a big quality difference between brands anymore. Actually, the most expensive batteries I have had, didn't last very long.
Verify the JIS number on the battery, but Messicks shows it being a 75D23R which would convert to a group 25 battery.
My L takes the same battery, I didn’t pull mine out to measure but a group 24 may fit.
Please measure your battery tray first though before buying a 24 series.

Just replaced mine last fall. One good thing is the battery tray is large and you can adapt a lot of batteries to it.
Changed out the battery on a MX5000 a couple of months ago. I used a group 34 and put the 1" spacer under the battery. It fit great. I believe a group 24 is the same physical size as the 34 with spacer.
