I have a b7100 old stile and the 3 point hitch leaks down eaven with out weight. I am leaning towards rebuilding the control valve but there are other points where the problem could be. Has any one had this problem and where did you find it thanks in advance

How much does it leak down? Are you talking about overnight, while it's running, during use? Mine leaks down overnight- it functions fine.

On mine I had a slight leak on the "cap" of the lift cyl.(right in front of the seat) I didn't think it was any big deal. that was until it popped the big "O" ring. sucker became ol' faithful while I was on her!!! lots of high pressure oil up!!, then down everywhere.

Didn't you have something similar Eric?? Maybe it was someone else.

New rings all better, been 2 yrs now.

Ya know now that you mention it, I did have to crack open the lift clyender area thats located under the tractor seat. There was a bunch of bolts and it was a nightmare going in there, but I'll be damn if I can remember what I went in there for!

I guess I have the same issue as cmustang: My 3point will slowly fall during any operation (i.e. as long as the engine is running). It is a B6100D with FEL and 3500 hours on the clock. When I put on the counteweight the hitch drops from top to bottom within 3 hours. Nothing happens when idle in the garage. In additiion , there is a small oil drip inside the left rear wheel.

no leaks to the exterior it must be a relief valve or o ring I'm thinking it must be the control valve or in the cylinder it self with my luck it will be the last place i look so i was hopeing someone has had the same issue to narrow my search

I just replaced the o ring on the 3ph cylinder for my b6000.

Very easy task. Six bolts on the top front of the transmission housing provided access and manually raising the lift arms allowed me to push the cylinder far enough out to grab hold of the piston.

Not sure if the b7100 or the hst nature of it would change things, but I'd start with the o ring.

Ordered parts today for the o'rings and packing on the lift cylinder. came to a whopping 10 dollars including the o'rings for the divert er valve (may as well change them while its apart) As soon as i get them picked up and installed ill let you know how it went

Well finaly got time to get to fixing. I was able to get the piston out threw the front cover. I think at one time there was a pump failure as the piston and the cylender walls had scratches on them some fairly deep. I managed to get all the sharp edges off with emery cloth. Now that i got it back together it all works fine if it lastes for any length of time (more than a few years) it will be worth just changing them again but if it dosent i gues ill have to change the housing. Thanks for all the help
