Apparently there are more than one variation of the pump.
This exploded view shows (2) figure 8 shaped "hubs" at each end of the pump shafts, sealed by o-rings, #003.
On mine, the figure "8" hub on the shaft seal end of the pump is non-existent, and is one piece with the housing, therefore the o-rings at that end are also non-existent.

On the other end, the view shows two round items between the #003 o-rings and the end cover... these do not exist in my pump.

The seal I removed has two sealing lips, and the new one has 3 sealing lips.

Cleaned up the pump today and found that the seal has been staked in. (5 places)
I have found no mention of the seal needing to be staked in.
Over zealous previous repair?
Comments?

There was no need on my repair to try to retain the seal into the case. There were three seals that co fit into the L185 hydraulic pump and the one that went with the tractor’s serial number did not fit at all so I ordered the other two and only one fit into the pump case. The proper seal fit well in the case and while it was tight it did not really require a lot of force to get it installed but enough to know it was not going to come out during operation.

The wrenches I needed for the banjo bolts were almost impossible to find.
(26 & 29mm combo)
A Matco dealer said he could order the 29mm, for $154. No thanks.

Horror Fright had a long combo wrench set that included a 26mm, for $27.

I took a 1 1/8" combo wrench and milled it out to 29mm, machined off the 1 1/8" stamped sizes, and re-stamped it 29mm.
