Hey everyone...noticed that my tractor was missing the hitch plate below, so I was able to find one on ebay for next to nothing. My question comes in regard to attaching it to the tractor. I noticed that there's a matching triangular flat section under the differential that matches the triangular plate on the hitch attachment. It has three screws. Easy enough, right? Well, before I go taking all three of those bolts out, is that plate section on the tractor actually a cover holding back the rear differential oil or is it just a solid flat section to allow the addition of my hitch plate? I don't want to remove the three bolts and have a ton of gear case oil come raining down on me...
Here you can see that I've removed one of the three bolts. Is that actually a cover holding back the gear case oil?
