Here are more pics of my rebuild of the B670 Backhoe, I will also forward websites I got parts from.
ASBBearings.com
This place is great I got all the bearings there, priced very well.
Surpluscenter.com
Hoses, pumps, pto shaft coupler, valves etc.
The bottom "ball joint" is just another bearing. What I did was place a heavy wall 3/8" piece of pipe, I think it was 2.5" in length, i had it welded in the right spot on the mounting plate and with the sized bearing from ASB pressed in. Then if you look at the photo with the swivel carriage and frame. I had them weld the mounting plates due to the amount of slop that was there from the past 40 plus years. I figure I won't ever need to get in there again!
Ebay
I got the 6 spoon valve for $125.00 brand new old stock, they had a few of them type in the part number.
Tractorjoe.com
Tire rims
Petes tire barn, this is a local store for me, but look them up on line and they will ship. You can also Simpletire.com, I got the 8-16 AG rear tires here.
Grizzly.com has a huge supply of spacers needed between the hoe frame and pin holes.
Amazon.com I bought cold rolled steel tube A513 1.5" OD 1"ID. This welds very nice, very heavy tube for all your 1" pin stock.
Tractor Supply had the right color spray paint on sale for 2.95 each...bargin
My local kubota dealer had all necessary hose connectors at a very reasonable price, the one and only item they could get for that backhoe were the teeth, and shafts which were actually Woods Parts
Hope this helps.
I did most of the work myself except the welding which was done by a good friend for a little money. He actually made the rear brackets for my after I gave him the pattern. They work great.
One of the biggest helps was Kubota.com (full site) go to parts, then illustrated parts list, scroll down, and check off I accept terms, type in your machine and you got the whole blown up view page by page. Very helpful even though you can't by the parts anymore, you can see what you need with specs.
The one thing I'm going to change is to cut new slots in the back mounting plate to raise the hoe by 2". This will be very helpful to ground clearance.
Happy rebuilding!
