Greetings all. I'm a new member with a bit of a story ... about one year ago mice nested behind the dashboard of our 2012 B3300SU. They chewed up the dashboard wiring so badly that I had to replace the wiring harness. They also chewed on a few wires on the tractor side of the dashboard wire harness plug but those were repairable. When the repair was complete the tractor would not start with the dashboard connected, but it has run just fine for the past year without the dashboard connected. The battery is being charged and everything electrical works, headlights, turn signals, flashers, rear facing auxiliary light and the safety switches (seat, PTO, forward/reverse pedal position) function as designed.
We have checked and rechecked those safety switches and have unplugged, cleaned and reconnected every connection we can reach. We also checked the continuity of the repaired wires near the connector to the dash wiring.
When the dash is connected turning the key to the first position illuminates the oil pressure dashboard light but not the battery/charging light (yes, the bulb is good). The glow plug light will illuminate at the second key switch position. Nothing happens when the key is turned to the third/start position.
A Kubota tech took pity on me and gave me a copy of the wiring diagram, which I'm attaching to this post. Maybe someone can use it to help me understand what I'm missing.
Thanks for your help, Dave
