B2650 shortened control arm?

I’m new to tractors but not to heavy equipment. My control lever hits my steering wheel (knocks my 3rd function LP button off) when maneuvering the hydraulics, and wondered if any one has cut the shaft shorter to create a shorter throw to prevent this nuisance?

My 2017 B2650 loader hydraulics control lever won't get any closer than 2-3" from my steering wheel when pressed firmly to the left (curl bucket) position.
I'm guessing either your lever got bent hard to the left at some point and never sprung back, or there's looseness at the lever bottom mount at the hydraulic valve body, or that valve body is loose or mounted with a tilt towards the inboard side.
If the valve body and lever mount plate seem to be mounted properly then I'd take that lever off and bend/twist it so that 2-3" clearance from the steering wheel (in hard full-left/bucket curl position) is recovered.

Sounds like something is amiss with the linkage.
It shouldn't hit the steering wheel.

I see, yours is a cab model so my loader lever and clearances are completely different for my open station.

I'll check mine and take a picture of full-left travel. Cab model, but no 3rd function.

Lever in neutral position, steering wheel in lowest position. Distance from knob to wheel and knob to window.

Knob to wheel, full curl position.

Knob to window, full dump position.

This is a GUESS. It appears that the original knob was removed and replaced with a much longer assembly that includes the TF buttons. If that whole tall mess on top went away you'd have clearance?

Could it be that the TF assembly is either made for a different tractor, aftermarket, mounted incorrectly or engineered poorly?

EDIT TO ADD: To answer your original question, I'd make sure that shortening the lever doesn't affect anything (doubt it would) then I'd whack it to suit.

If you had an original OEM Kubota third function installed you would not have this issue. My B2650 cabbed installation does not hit the steering wheel. My guess is that most if not all aftermarket third function installations will suffer with this issue.

At least the top part looks like the one that mcmxi posted of his control in another thread. Might it be an official Kubota part but meant for a different model?

Interesting. It’s a Land Pride TF for the tractor, so I thought it was made with Kubota in mind. Thanks for the help!

An easy way to avoid TF shut off when bumping the steering wheel: turn the knob so the buttons are on top. That should be easy to do by backing off the screws that hold it to the joy stick. The wire loom running down the joy stick will be twisted a bit but you should be able to sort that.
