B2601 grill tilt guard

Does anyone have a new b 2601 ? I just bought mine a month ago. My foam covered release handle for the grill guard tilt mechanism nearly touches my exhaust and the foam is burning off and getting blown all over my loader. Just wondering if anyone has the same issue or photos of the way their grill guard tilt mechanism lever is installed. Sent pictures to dealership but have yet to hear anything. Thanks in advance

wow, my 2601 does not have this 'feature' it was delivered in Oct 2020. Can you show a few more pictures of this mechanism? which loader do you have, as the grill guard comes with the loader.

Looks like the handle is upside down to me, but I don't have a B2601 and have never seen that feature.

I got my 2601 with the LA435 loader in Dec 20 and I didn't get this feature.

I was thinking the lever should be pointed forward, but I am not sure.

Nice find on the installation instructions! I cannot find this kit on parts website...

Closest I came was finding it in a march 2020 whole goods price sheet under "FRONT QH DRIVELINE/COMPLETION KITS" for $58.00

update: was able to order it through whole goods at Messicks, it is on back order until April/May like everything else in the world

so much better with it tilted back. Most of our 2601s stick obtusely out.
I wonder if the handle could be switched to the other side by flipping the kit.

Yes it’s nicer tilted back. You just have to tilt it forward to open the hood. The hood latch is on the opposite side I don’t think you can switch it ...

Talked to my local dealer and he has them in stock. $99.00 cnd but its only the pivot parts , does not come with a new grill.

well Messicks said this tilt kit would be available in May or April. However, they called yesterday to say that it's being fedex now. Will report back on the retrofit

For what it’s worth, on my L-series, the hood latch as well as this foam-covered pin (mine isn’t foam-covered) are on the same side, opposite of the muffler. Was like this from the factory.

Sorry im not much help to the OP but i got this kit installed today. I can't believe these things don't come delivered this way.

Only tricky part was compressing the spring to insert the cotter pin. I used a 12mm box wrench and a wood clamp. Everything fit right up.

last thing... to @Cdnmaplesmoke, it appears your handle my not be set right. I believe it should be pointing straight forward, yours appears to be down.

I just got a b2601 last week. I can confirm that the handle should not touch the pipe. Mine doesn't.

Fyi: be careful if you lift up your 3ph when the rops is folded down. I bent my top-link on day 1 because of that
