I apologise if this has been raised before. My B2601 is now 7 months old, only has 35 hours on it, is it Ok to do the 50 hour service early? Just suits me now, time wise.
This is what I do….Attach a shop vacuum hose to the oil fill and turn on the vacuum. It will create a negative atmospheric condition, keeping the oil in the tractor sump, and not leaking out the oil filter fitting. Never tried it....
Just had the Kubota technician here doing a small warranty job for an oil leak, he said he just clamps the breather hose, when changing the filters, works well. This is what I do….
I plug the vent hose with a screwdriver that fits the rubber vacuum hose snugly and then remove the filter. Once the screwdriver is in place, I’ll remove the filter (s). I only have drips and maximum, a slight drizzle. Super easy and very little mess, cleanup and fluid loss.

^^This is the way to do it. Did it on my B2601 and it works. You do lose some fluid, but it’s just what’s in the filter you are replacing. This is what I do….
