Could someone with a B219 FEL do me a favor & measure the outside diameter of the hydraulic cylinders? I meant to do this myself & it slipped my marginally functional mind until I was about 75 miles from the tractor. DOH! My guess is about 2.375, but I need a more solid figure to research a new project for improving said FEL.
Thanks in advance.

Is the B219 the one with the front PTO pump? If it is, I have one and can get you the measurements.

Yup, that's the one.
Just for clarity, 2.350" includes paint? If so that's what I'm interested in. I think mine have been repainted, so they may be a little larger, but if someone else will chime in for kind of an average, I'll be good to go.
Thanks!

Well, it includes paint such that it is. Most of it is pretty well burnt, but it's there. If you need more precise, I can put a micrometer on it (or even a good caliper) instead of the worn vernier caliper I grabbed (which I generally use around the shop for rough measurements).

I'd appreciate a more accurate measurement if it's not too much trouble- it's one of my curses- 30+ years as a Toolmaker & Research Technician.

Lil foot is definetly not a T.L.A.R. Graduate. If i dont have to, i wont measure....that looks about right.

Good luck with the project.

For drying fire hose. Its built into a room,so onsite repair is necessary.

Another measurement needed- Could someone please confirm the ram diameter? Should be 1.125", but I'd like a confirmation before cutting material.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, I drug out the micrometers just for you. The measurements were so surprising, I went back and checked calibration to be sure, and they were both accurate within tenths. Anyway, the tube on the cleanest closest to virgin place I could find checked at ~2.376(+) without paint (looks like my verniers are in worse shape than I realized). Shaft is at ~1.126. Both varied by a few tenths in different areas, particularly the tube (which varied by a couple thou +), but that's what I got. And that's setting in the sun with micrometers coming out of a cool dry room. Sorry, no environmental control room to normalize my tractor in for 48 hours, but best I can tell that material is imperial sized.

Excellent! Thanks BadDog! I now have all the dimensions confirmed, all the materials on hand, and need to start making some simple tooling. Stay tuned!
