There may be a fusible link in the system that has gotten melted/blown.

They are sometimes wire loops that just plug in at both ends, sometimes they are square box types.

Did you make sure to put the wires back in the same exact location on the switch?
Do you have a test light?
First, check for power in to the switch,
Then check if turning the key backwards makes the glow plugs work,
Then check the wire going into the clutch switch should light when key goes to crank,
Then check at the small wire going to the solenoid on the starter if there is power going there on crank and clutch pushed.

One other thing to check is the wire breaking at the terminals (inside the insulation jacket) since you probably had to use some force to get the connector off the switch. You can check continuity from connector to other end of wire (if you can find where the wire runs to). You should disconnect battery before running continuity check.

I GOT IT!!! well actually russel king and wolfman got it. thanks so much guys. I got out a test light and what happened is this, where the 4 prong connector on the ignition switch connects to the 4 female connector to the harness somehow one of the male prongs had broken off cause it was hard to separate or when pushed back in. so I noticed that I only had 3 male prongs I used a test light and when I put it to the female harness where the male prong was missing it lit up so that's when I knew that I had thru force of uncoupling that connector broken the wire and the prong must have fallen somewhere I put another prong and hooked it back up and it started right up. I hate electrical but you two guys were right on the money I would never have caught that in a million years. the test light was a great idea and the broken wire was correct you two should get married lol. I hope you guys have a sense of humor thanks so much again.

sincerely Q.

I have a 94 B2150, starter was dragging installed new starter now when I turn on key, I have no lights acts like battery is not there. Have new battery, check bat voltage 12.86. Checked voltage at starter same 12.86. The new starter has a wire that goes to nothing on my model. Could that wire have anything to do with the continuity of all circuits fuses good. Key switch looks good. All worked fine till new starter and now nothing. Also cleaned bat cables and ground on the tractor for the ground cable

Sounds like you don't have the power feed wire attach to the right location.

On the starter there should be the battery wire and the feed wire for the tractor under the same lug.

The spare white wire does not connect to anything, it's a stop solenoid engagement wire used on some models but not yours.

Ok explains spare wire thanks, starter is hookup correctly only 2 one that bolts to starter and one that attaches to a plug. But all circuits are dead

There should be 2 wires One battery cable and one smaller wire that's the feed for the dash, both fit onto the large lug and one small wire( white-black stripe) that goes to the solenoid.
And no the white wire that comes out of the starter does not feed anything on your tractor.

Ok what I have is one big wire that bolts to the starter and one smaller wire that plugs into a connector next to the big wire. Does that smaller wire control electricity back to the dash. Thus making the whole tractor dead.
