What would be the purpose of an auxiliary PTO on the back mounted on the tractor PTO? The hydraulic lines come from the tank to the PTO and back up to the lever controls. Thanks for the help.
That is a PTO mounted hydraulic pump. Commonly used to provide high flow hydraulic power to things like 3pt log splitters or backhoes. It is easily removed when you want to use ths PTO for something else. Here are pictures of the unit, the lines come from the bottom of the tank and back to the PTO and then back up to the control levers. Thanks again for your help.
That pump is powering the loader. If you take it off your loader wont work. Thanks for the info, so if I take it off where do the lines hook back into?
I don’t think you need to remove the pump to use a rear PTO driven implement. Your picture shows that a PTO shaft exits the pump and you have an implement shaft already attached to the tractor. That is a PTO mounted hydraulic pump. I should have blown up the pictures before free lancing.I don’t think you need to remove the pump to use a rear PTO driven implement. Your picture shows that a PTO shaft exits the pump and you have an implement shaft already attached to the tractor.
But it is easily removed if you want it removed. But the loader would be removed at the same time along with the hoses and the valve.
As far as I see, there would be no hoses left to worry about.
The tractor would be returned back to original and the tractor hydraulic pump would be used to power the rear 9ththree point hitch.
