Did someone say 80's? While not a classic for a lot of you older guys, it's definitely a classic for those in my generation. My '85 Supra, all stock, original paint:Goes with our “Back to the’80’s” themed exhibit.

Crazy that it's 40 years old at this point. My county qualifies it as a collector now and my taxes on it went up 40x when it hit that threshold.Hey - - that defines as a "classic" now. Over 25 years old. Hard to find originals from that era!![]()
I've heard some horror stories about personal property taxes.Crazy that it's 40 years old at this point. My county qualifies it as a collector now and my taxes on it went up 40x when it hit that threshold.![]()

Reach out to Kenneth Updike, you can find him on Facebook or the Red Power Magazine. Ken has done tremendous amount of research and is the leading IH guru on IH tractor information and writes for Red Power and writes books about IH.Not worthy of a new thread - - might need some help....
I should ask the question on another forum, but one the usual suspects is one that scorned me a little when I was a "new guy."
I know there's some folks here that bleed Farmall Red.
Our next themed exhibit is "Farm to Market."
A mix of tractors and what would have been farm trucks.
I'm working on "Story Boards" for a few of the tractors.
One I'm stuck on is a Farmall Super AV.
We always specify number produced......therein lies the problem.
TractorData.com lists Super AV total at 10,300+, but I see the same for the Super A. Appears the AV is lumped in with the A's....
Other references show the Super AV at 3,600 or so, or about a third of the A series total......
Does it sound like the 3,600 is a good approximation of the total 10,300?
Pictures please. Growing up on a farm, we had a Case 930, 1030 and 580ck. The 580 was the 580 backhoe but setup as a farm tractor with 3 point hitch, PTO and hydraulic remotes with no loader or backhoe. That was one tough little tractor.Still working on Story Boards for "Farm to Market" Exhibit - -
Don't need help with these - - just thought you guys might get a kick out of them:
Allis Chalmers G
Model T Huckster
Case 530 Tractor (gas) - - I know @D2Cat has a 730
Ford Econoline Pickup
Model A Pickup
Studebaker M5 Pickup
Nothing has shown up yet.
We'll change the '80's Exhibit to Farm to Market late-May to early-June.
Will also change out about half the Post-War Exhibit (~20).
Got a great set of Chevy Tri-5's coming. 55, 56, 57 Chevies. Same owner. Beautiful cars.
@skeets - - if I see anything MOPAR come into the post-War, I'll make sure to get a photo for you!![]()

Growing up as kids....my brother and I raised an acre or two of onions to sell for our spending money. An Allis Chalmers "G" was our cultivator tractor. That machine was a blast to drive to and from the onion patch and made cultivating between the rows a breeze. Sure beat hoeing by hand and having to use the little manual push cultivator!Still working on Story Boards for "Farm to Market" Exhibit - -

At the Museum, we often struggle with ways to attract a "younger" crowd. In reference to my last post where I referred to my history with Hondas. Got some pics I took of pics I found a while back after moving.
What actually started it all was a need to save a little bit on gas.
It was 2000. I was 16, a junior in high school plus being dual enrolled at a community college a town over, and then apprenticing at a shop a few towns over the opposite way. I was literally working to put gas in my el camino LOL.
Pops was like, "We need to find you a honda." This was what my sister did to save on gas when she lived in oceanside but went to school in san diego. So I bought a honda with the help of pops.

It was a 94 civic and the dang thing was purple. Couldn't stand it for a second.
I rattle canned it primer the first week I had it. I was in an automotive refinishing program at the college at the time. Going into my second year and knew I'd be able to bring her in and repaint her at some point. So a few months later, accompanied by several other mods, I painted her 1999 Lamborghini orange.
This beauty sported the imfamous D16Z6 engine which was a 1.6L single cam VTEC laying down an earth shattering 120hp. Something I could not agree with having been used to the el camino.
With the help of my new found honda buddies, I ended up swaping in a mildly built japanese B18B. Next thing I know I'm laying down 14.5 quarter mile times thinking I'm john force of the import world LOL.

I pretty much dominated my parents driveway. Stepdad didn't care as long as I wasn't tearing stuff up and as long as mom's PRESTINE 1988 buick skylark LOL stayed in the garage out of harms way, I could do what I pleased.
