MNVikingsGuy, My comment about a first person example was in reference to doctors. "... because your doctor says something doesn't make it so!!
If you look at my quote it was "AND" for a reason - your doctor's input AND other credible sources. If you are saying credible experts and your doctor don't know - that may be the case as well, but I would cast my lot with them over anonymous strangers on a tractor forum or politicized bloggers any day.

I agree in general, but if the information (on a forum) is backed by the people you mention with a link, or evidence, it becomes as valid as the person saying it person to person. The problem in our society is the main news media is so biased the truth has to be searched out beyond what they spew out. Therein lies the challenge.

I know a Dr who is an Dr of internal medicine who was not familiar with the concept of C-peptide, and gave me some very wrong information based on what he though was true.

There are a couple of Kubota tech's on this forum. I've seen post where one of them instructed the person asking the question the answer. The poster responded with a comment how he was going to get the correct answer from his dealer! Information on forums is a good as the information handed out, just like in any area of life!

I'll probably get it IF I don't have to give THEM my DNA.. So far EVERYONE who has been 'swabbed' ( testing for 19) , HAS given the guv, every 3 letter dept, drug companies, insureance companies and others their DNA. In fact , anyone who wants it can just buy your code of life...
First, I hope this was tongue in cheek. Second, PCR and antigen testing do not generate DNA sequence information that's not how either works. Third, if you are suggesting that the samples are then secondarily being sent for DNA sequence testing, such sharing of medical samples is explicitly prohibited by law. Fourth, if you believe that the insurance companies and three-letter agencies are somehow secretly violating this law do you also refuse to give blood or have blood tests taken at clinics? As they are even better sources of a DNA sample. Fifth, med insurance companies have no real interest in individual samples anyway as latent pre-existing condition exclusions are largely illegal now. Sixth, I understand some may not get this vaccine or other medical treatment for a variety of personal reasons, but I certainly hope no one would forego such treatment(s) because of this conspiracy theory.

We agree that sometimes the "experts" are posting on forums, and links can lead people to other "experts". But too often that is not what happens in charged situations like covid. Also, if folks are really distrusting of "mainstream experts" I suggest they take a few courses on statistics, experimental design and the emerging field of study directed to critiquing peer-reviewed articles for common error ("meta-research"). Armed with this, one has a chance to better understand what is conjecture and what is in fact, "fact". Unfortunately, absent this purposeful study, most of the counter beliefs themselves are just the opposing confirmation bias.

Unfortunately, most of what you said was only partially true PRE - ACA.

Part of the ACA "protecting" us and "lowering costs" based on grouped information, was to share your medical information (DNA also has specific language and handling in the ACA) with the gov as well as insurers and other non-disclosed 3rd parties. Ask your doctor.

PRE- ACA YOU and your doctor were the only people with your "medical file". Now many agencies, insurance companies and 3rd party people have it.

The ACA was literally the biggest data grab in history.

I was talking about the illegality of a clinic to secretly send your medical specimens out to another agency for unauthorized/non-consented testing (i.e., DNA sequencing), not the underlying info. I agree the underlying info once generated does have permitted legal uses. Again, a covid PCR test does not generate a DNA sequence listing or a listing of common genetic markers used for identification purposes by LEOs.

Anybody seen this?

Everyone seems concerned about a "fake" vaccination- if I were that guy, I'd be worried about the fact they obviously used an empty, previously used syringe! From where? From who? He obviously wasn't given a Covid 19 vaccination, but what else was he given? I see a lawsuit in someone's future, and maybe somesone will be un-employed too.

The first time I saw that video, it was longer. He was giving shots to multiple people. A lady before this guy gets a shot. This guy then sits down and is poked with the empty needle. Speculation is that it was from the pervious person, i.e., a used needle.

Until about 15 years ago a half a dozen vaccines were required to go to school. Certain travel requires vaccines, medical facilities have often required vaccines. Nothing new here. No different than requiring safety equipment on the job. (and believe me we have had employees quit over that too).
How many of those were brand-new just released?

Jay, it is relatively unlikely that DNA is being extracted from the nasal swabs used for testing for COVID. It would require coordinated dishonesty at several levels, from the fluid sample when the swab is collected on up through handling in the lab, and including the reporting. The newer rapid test is read immediately, and perhaps you could demand to see it disposed of after it is read, if you ever have to have one at the ER or urgent care. There will soon be on the market a recently approved home COVID test kit, and that would leave the sample entirely in your hands. This is different from the antigen test kit Flip mentioned, and which tells you if you have had the virus.

Re: the vaccinations and the video (I hate made for tv dog and pony shows), when it comes to your personal vaccination you can demand (well ask nicely) to see the vial from which the vaccine is drawn. Memorize and write down what the label is on it. I can imagine situations where they are doing assembly line vaccinations that someone will be in charge of filling the syringes and lining them up on a tray, the vaccine is precious and has to be thawed out in batches. Not sure the volume to be used, but could be very small.

Anyway always watch! I had a new “nurse trainee” give me vitamin B12 instead of a flu shot once. The office called me a few hours later to tell me. I had repeated when the guy came in “this is the flu shot for old ladies, right?” He said it was, I was suspicious because it was purple, and I’d never seen a purple flu vaccine. Good thing it was only B12. I have not ever let that doctors office forget it either.

What's interesting is the one giving the injection just goes on as everything is normal. The one receiving the injection looks to see he's finished, rolls his sleeve down and gets up. The spectators all clap as they are finished with their salesmanship class!

There is more than anectdotal evidence that the vaccine is not safe enough for everyone to take it yet. Just today I read about a hospital in Chicago that stopped injections for the staff because of adverse reactions to the serum.
You mean this one?

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. - A north suburban hospital is temporarily pausing coronavirus vaccinations after four workers reported feeling adverse reactions.

Since Thursday, four team members at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville experienced reactions shortly after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination. Their symptoms included tingling and elevated heartrates, the hospital said in a statement.

The hospital also noted that the four team members represent fewer than 0.15% of the approximately 3,000 who have so far received vaccinations across Advocate Aurora Health.

The hospital released a statement Saturday saying vaccinations will resume on Sunday, Dec. 20.

None of the 4 required any treatment, just monitoring.

No, I meant this one. There are others too but this is one that is easy to find.

UMMMM.... it's the same place, time and people... They didn't have anything more than a tingle and elevated heart rates... no further medical treatment required.

I'm sure Viagra has caused way more issues, with way more people!

Well, 3 pages of opinions and links but I'm like NIW, when I can get poked I will and so will my wife.. In the hospital of course. Kind of expecting my oncologist to have it shortly.

Reading about it and doing it are 2 different animals. After I get poked (twice), I'll report back. How's that.
