I'd buy three from Ken's Bolt-On Hooks, mount one in the middle and the other ones near the ends.

I second the Ken’s Bolt on Hooks. I have a set of 2 on my FEL on my B3200. Great quality and service from Ken. I mounted mine so they are in line with the FEL arms. Worked great loading and unloading my mmm this spring.

3rd for Ken !
Keep an American in business and paying taxes !!
QUIT sending money to CHINA
krappy powder cost will chip off and you want a contrasting color for hooks from bucket
mount as close to or inline with the 'arms'
maybe a 3rd, in the center IF you have a wide bucket
my bucket's 48", only have 2 clamp on hooks, zero problems.

I do not have a FEL but I put similar hooks on my 3pt weight bar. These are from some alphabet soup company out of China but they work for my needs. Home owner use only and not doing any really heavy work. So far I like them.

In line with loader lift arms is the best place to mount hooks. The bucket is stronger at these points.

If I used hooks or clevis attachment points, I'd definitely be getting them from Ken's Bolt-on Hooks. My BIL bought from Ken and they are nicer than anything I could make myself.

I've been going a different route since getting the first Kubota back in '02. With minimal tools (a drill and a hack saw would do it) the buckets have been equipped with angle iron with slots cut into it. One benefit is being able to run chain in front or behind the bucket, and to drape unused chain out of the way by dropping it into the extra slots.

In recent years I've been using 1/4" G70 chain more frequently than 3/8". It's nicer to work with and still has 1.5X the WLL than the FEL can lift. Another useful thing has been the couple of chains that I replaced the grab hook on one end with a logger's chain hook (like a slip hook but it stays in place).

Putting aside brand of hooks, I have mounted two hooks in the center of the bucket with one reversed compared to normal one.
If I am trying to lift something that is on or over the limit using a chain running over the cutting edge of my bucket, I run the chain down the backside of the bucket. This moves the lifting point IN and increases the load I can lift by a substantial amount.

Good information. I will keep it in mind when I need to lift 10 tons with the L2501.
The main point is cheap hooks fail!
And when they fail it can be very costly or very deadly!
This is not a good part / device to cheap out on!

I understand your point on this subject. As far as lifting things safely, I think a bigger concern of everyone should be the chains that are being used to lift with the hooks. More of a chance that a cheap HF or the rusty old chain you found at a yard sale could fail WAY before the hooks will - they can be the "weakest link" for safe load lifting - can be very costly or very deadly also!!!
