Yep hot and muggy,, so I got out a bit early while it was still cool. And split about a face cord and quit cause I was soaked. My mind said common we can finish this pile of wood,, my body said are you out of your freekin mind ! So I come in to the AC for a bit and gathered my witts about me, and figured about the only thing let was to go to Sams for a few things. Ya know this hot weather is hard on an old mans lungs, and the AC in the store helps even through a mask. So I head back to the dairy cooler for eggs and butter, and I bet I spent 15 minuets just watching... Yes hot weather sweat halter tops some with some with out and that cold air in the cooler,,, OMG the show was very exciting things just exploded, all shapes and sizes,, made me wish I was 50 years younger. Some days life is good!

It's 92 at 2:30 here in Phoenix. Cool end to a ten-day stretch of 110 plus days. Humidity is up and the monsoons are all around town. Hope we get good rain soon. Last year they termed it the "Non-soon." We didn't get much at all.

Arrived at our place in the high country yesterday, and it had just rained. Temp got down to 54 last night, is currently 58. (8:30am) Pretty nice after the hot spell CCR mentioned.
It's been in the 90's here for too many days. In this part of the state, temperature is only part of the discomfort. The humidity has also been high. Welding is something I do outside because there isn't sufficient clear space in the garage and there's no exhaust there. Here's the setup for the past two weeks to escape the sun. Cheap Harbor Freight 11x17 plastic tarp, a couple pieces of PVC pipe and a few baling twine guy lines.

D2 yep that would be the ticket, but here inthe col country there aint much gold. And I bet the creeks are almost over loaded with people and the suppliers are making a killing . I can't get up to my claim in the GWN , sooo I guess I might have to hit Ohio some place along the lake

Went over to air out the barn yesterday morning and found about a half quart of Shell Synthetic Diesel under my lube cabinet. Seems summer always stresses the plastic jugs. Fortunately, I had some room in another jug. Thank God for Gunk degreaser...

We are having low to mid-90's but now add the outer bands of rain from Hurricane Hanna. This is making scheduling sawmilling jobs very difficult.
