Has anyone else needed to replace the universal joint assembly shaft that goes from the tractor to mower deck. Buying it from Kubota runs up over $700. Part number is #k5384-32032.

Do you need the whole shaft?

If you do, then No there is no good alternative source.
If you only need the joint just buy the joint.

I was looking for the same info. My tractor sat outside over the Winter and not the shaft is seized up. I have tried a ton of PB blaster, heat, etc. I cannot get them to come apart.

Tie one end to a big tree and the other end to your pickup. Sometimes thats the only way to get a stuck shaft apart if you dont have access to a machine shop.
