Looking at installing gages on the BX. Thinking of engine oil temp and hydraulic oil temp. I have a tripod set up so what would u think a 3rd gage would be if you had a choice?

Assuming tractor has coolant temp gauge, my choice would be ammeter, engine oil pressure and Hydro temp.

But I'd have to want it pretty bad to go through the trouble of installing all those.

But hey, it's your ride...make it yours!:)

Amp meter is kind of a pain in the but to wire. Volt meter is a cheap and easy alternative to let you know if your battery is charged up or getting ran down.

Adding ammeter as the 3rd is a no brainer. It's on my 'todo' list, along with building a REAL grille guard.
A voltmeter is a low buck 'cheat' and I've tossed them out of the rest of the tractors and wired in real ammeters. A voltmeter only shows the 'surface voltage' of battery or alternator output NOT the actual flow of electrons ( current) going to/fro the battery. It's in the same catagory as TPMS...

Knowing myself, I'd opt for a level like Jeeps have so I know when I'm upside down.

Yeah I'm wiring an amp meter now. The alternator wire went from the alt to the batt was about 18 inches long. Now it runs from the alt to the dash then back to the battery.
