4610 hst pedal slow returning to neutral

My 4610 forward/reverse pedal is slow returning to neutral position. I blew linkage with compressed air to remove dirt, I used penetrating oil/grease on all fittings and tightened tension spring. It did not make much difference. Am I missing something??? thanks

My BX2670 is the same. I’ve adjusted the spring tension which helped the peddle return a little faster. I guess I just am more acquainted to it now compared to my belt drive JD lawn tractor with Hydro drive.

The 4610 is new to me. I had a L3010 last year that was perfect. the 4610 you have to move back with your foot. A little dangerous I think.

The 2-way damper on the linkage is supposed to add controlled spring force for neutral return too. Maybe its getting weak or sluggish? (like me? )

Disconnect the dampaner and see if it speeds up significantly, if it does you need to get a new dampaner.

Thanks for the reply's, I used it today and all the cleaning and oil/greasing I did seemed to have fixed it.
