When I bought my 3200 fel hst it came un ballasted. The dealer said I needed to buy either a ballast box for 400ish or fill the rear r4's filled for 4-500ish. I politely declined and both. I bought 4 bottles of washer fluid concentrate for $12 that make 15gal at -15 a piece and took 2hrs and filled them myself. Then I bought a old 2" hitch off Craig's list for $50 and welded some square steel tube for the center point. I also welded on some 1/8" plate further up and then 1/4" plate running down from that to the bottom of the hitch and welded on the lower links and viola a awesome 2" hitch with room for suitcase weights. I ordered 10 41 pounders and man what a difference that made. Each tire gained 270lbs a piece, the hitch with weights tips the scale at 450lbs for a total of 990lbs of ballast. Now when I use the loader the tractor runs out of hydraulic power before it can even think of daylighting the back end. Hope this is useful to those of you out there like me who use the 3pt for more towing work than attachment work who don't want to be taking things on and off all the time.
