After fighting to connect the ballast box to the 3 point a few times, and after reading some posts from others on here about their use of quick hitches, I decided I needed a quick hitch. Since I enjoy getting out in the shed and making stuff I made this too to standard Cat 1 dimensions. Standard here means about the average of the dimensions I could find online for purchased ones.

I had to move the lower pins on my homemade ballast box, and may need to modify the second hand rotary hoe that I haven't used yet, but thought standardizing things to suit a Cat 1 quick hitch wouldn't hurt.

So far it seems to work and I'm pretty happy with how it turned
out.

Seems ok.
Very nice work. I have not been welding for very long and it has been a couple of years probably longer since I have done any welding. I would love to be able to weld with your expertise, but I’m just going to have to get to work at it. I only have two cheap HF welding machines, a stick and a line feed. I really need to get a real welder and learn how to use it!
But again very nice job!

Thank you. There are tons of welding instructional videos on YouTube. Some that I've found really helpful are a series called TimWelds.
