Good afternoon! I am trying to help my friend repair his 2014 B2650, which is new to him this summer. Upon the cold weather, he is having lots of trouble starting, despite the illumination of the glow plug indicator.

I verified that the glow plugs are NOT getting 12V, even though the lamp illuminates.
The relay is good (removed and bench tested)
There is good continuity between the relay socket and the glow plugs.
The glow plugs ohm out correctly.
The relay is getting coil power and clicks as expected when you actuate the glow plugs. The 5A fuse is good and the harness ohms out correctly between the fuse and the relay coil supply.

There is NO power getting to the relay on the actual contact side in any position of the ignition switch.

I expect the main power tap the to glow plugs is also protected with a fuse or fusible link, but the operator manual is less than helpful.

Looking for a wiring diagram and suggestions on where to check next to find the interruption in the power feed.

Glow plug fuse, If it's blown check the resistance of each glow plug as there is probably a shorted one.

Wow, thanks all. That was fast!

Well, that explains it. He only has a single 40A slow blow fuse in the fuse panel near the battery, so the main glow fuse is missing.

Do any of you happen to recall the specification for the glow plug resistance on this tractor?

generally speaking , glow plugs are about 1 ohm each, so they draw about 10 amps of current......

3 plugs = 30 amps....

Ok, so measuring in parallel would expect them to be ~0.33 ohms. (IIRC it was 0.6, which I thought was fine).

Nothing was shorted, in any case. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. He'll pick up some fuses tomorrow.

The plot thickens a bit, he bought a fuse to add another fuse to the front and there is only one pin in the fuse holder in that position, see picture. I haven't seen it but he sent me the picture below.

Well that's interesting?

Give me the tractors serial number.

Well here is a twist.

That fuse is far from normal and far from cheap.
It has male blades instead of the standard female blades:

FYI: Your pointing to the Cab fuse hence the reason there is only one pin, no cab.

Thanks, that makes all sorts of sense. I was assuming , incorrectly, that the 40A glow fuse was the same form factor.

I'll probably make a jumper to test this thing out with a more traditional fuse before risking the blowing of a 60$ part.

TH.. .66r indicates only 2 glowplugs are good, one is 'open'.
You'll have to separate them, then measure each to see which one is open ( IE NOT 1 ohm )
OUCH on the pricey fuse !!!! I'd be slapping in a $5 autoresetting circuit breaker......

I had to rework my slow-blow fuse holder assembly due to corrosion (zero voltage passthrough whatsoever) so I know all about how the B2650 fuses are in that area.

These are the Littelfuse PAL series part numbers used on the cab version of the B2650HSD that I have personally purchased and used.

PAL050BP for the red 50A female terminal version.
PAL160BP for the yellow 60A male terminal version.

Note that the 40A male terminal version is not listed. If you Google search PAL140BP, some variations are being sold.

Bussman FLM-40 is the equivalent. It's out of stock at Rockauto but I see multiple listings on eBay.
