Good afternoon! I am trying to help my friend repair his 2014 B2650, which is new to him this summer. Upon the cold weather, he is having lots of trouble starting, despite the illumination of the glow plug indicator.
I verified that the glow plugs are NOT getting 12V, even though the lamp illuminates.
The relay is good (removed and bench tested)
There is good continuity between the relay socket and the glow plugs.
The glow plugs ohm out correctly.
The relay is getting coil power and clicks as expected when you actuate the glow plugs. The 5A fuse is good and the harness ohms out correctly between the fuse and the relay coil supply.
There is NO power getting to the relay on the actual contact side in any position of the ignition switch.
I expect the main power tap the to glow plugs is also protected with a fuse or fusible link, but the operator manual is less than helpful.
Looking for a wiring diagram and suggestions on where to check next to find the interruption in the power feed.
