Having it level is the key to removing and installing back on. I block up mine with jack stands and ratchet strap the legs in the up position, saves on space.Thank You. Just ordered one. This means I gotta get familiar with taking off my backhoe...
No problem, visibility is good. I just roll the bucket back a little to see the coupler, then level it out for towing. The tongue height on most of my trailers is pretty low, not sure if I could get under the coupler if the ball was on top of the bucket.Lil Foot... How do you see the ball well enough to make the hitch-up?
Would making such an adapter to fit the TOP of the bucket work better?
(I do REALLY LIKE your adapter idea.)
My neighbor bought a new hitch receiver that bolts to the top of the bucket, and found he could not get low enough to get under the tongue of his dump trailer. He borrowed a stinger with a 6" drop so he could hook up the the trailer. No problem, visibility is good. I just roll the bucket back a little to see the coupler, then level it out for towing. I made one of those years ago, never used, never will. If someone wants it, come get it.I made this up one afternoon. Works fine and I use it a lot.
