The response from the other guy was not in my view worth anything of any value. Besides that being a condensending A-Hole doesn't sit well with me.
He may have been a little tongue-in-cheek with his response, but calling people names is not appropriate either.

His point about the rarity and difficulty finding a used OEM loader 40 years later is valid. It crops up here often, as a search of past posts will show. Few people want to sell a loader separately, and sometimes the only way to get a loader is to buy the whole package and sell your existing tractor. I was in the same boat when I acquired my tractor. After a long and fruitless search I ended up building my own as have many others too.

That is not to say it is impossible to find one. Occasionally unicorns roam free. My backhoe was one such barn find and there is a current thread from someone who stumbled upon a used loader (but lacking the required subframe). Good luck in your search, you might get lucky.

See post #10 ;)

He is lucky. Very lucky, I'd say :giggle:

Would you have pictures of your loader build, or a link to a thread maybe? I certainly will never be able to find a loader for my tractor lawnmower, so I'd be interested seeing DIY solutions.

You spent quite a bit of time writing here restating what’s already been said. We”re all big boys here. The guy with the snarky attitude got what he deserved from me as far as I’m concerned. Not sorry, nope not at all for my response. If you can’t say something positive, keep it to yourself. I understand his point but I also subscribe to the philosophy of positive reinforcement, not negative. Good luck to you in all your endeavors. 👍

I started a thread under “Projects” called 1980 Kubota B6100D restoration. I’ll intend to try and keep it updated with pictures as I move thru the process. 👍

You're on the path!! The joy stick control valve will make a nice addition, and the front clutch in good condition is REAL fortunate.

I found my loader in Bee Bee Ark. Left early and it was an all day trip. I had the seller give me some very specific measurements before I left. Loader had a 5' bucket so it fit nicely into my PU bed. It was nice to net have to pull a trailer.

Following Bill's picture you'll have this thing going before long! Have fun.

For anyone fabbing up a loader frame, probably the most important part is the bar that goes back to the rear axle from the loader tower base. That is what keeps it all from turning into a scrap pile.

I have to source a drive that goes into the spline shaft in front for the pump. I seen it somewhere along with spool valves etc. When that time comes I’ll find it again. Currently bead blasting 45 year old wheels and getting them ready for new tubes and tires. 😁

I drove 380 miles each way. Yup, 760 miles which turned out to be a 17 hour day. Broke a brake line on my old Jeep which the seller helped me repair. Couldn’t ask for a better bunch of folks to deal with. But in the end I have a B219 loader that is in the back excellent condition. 👍
Wow, that's pretty awesome! Its a legit needle in a haystack! I'm glad the folks were super nice too. Nothing worse than dealing with knuckleheads
