In order to change the fan belt, you'll need to split the FEL pump driveshaft at the double row chain coupler- not a big deal, but a pain to access without removing more stuff.
The steering gear box is filled with 80-90W gear oil, check for water when you drain, a common problem if it was stored outside. (hard on the lower bearing, which fails, taking out the rest of the parts)
The drain & fill plugs are #30 & #22 respectively, if I remember right.
(my B7100 is 150 miles from me right now)

Like Lil Foot said drain and fill it up. ;)
And if there is water in there, plan on rebuilding it.

Is this just a matter of taking the double row chain apart? If so,I assume there are chain links on both halves? I plan on removing the radiator to do a thorough cleaning. It would probably be a good time to replace the belt at that time.

I also noticed last night that my coolant discharge hose did not have the whistle on the bottom. Maybe I will get lucky and find that it is still attached to the frame, but disconnected from the hose. I did not look yet. This is an expensive item, close to $90, from my research. Are their other options to use here vs., the whistle, such as installing a temperature gauge instead? Does it make sense to add a coolant recover bottle to these tractors? Otherwise, won't you lose coolant when the tractor gets warm and forces coolant from the radiator with normal expansion. I can't see the radiator staying topped off this way.

Thanks!!

For those that have added a recovery tank for the cooling system, what did you use for a tank and where did you install it?
