B8200 lost lights and dash power

Well...I feel stupid. There is no fuse box or panel. As someone mentioned, it's just 2 inclined glass fast burn fuses just under the left hand side of the gas tank. A 10A and a 15A. I blew the 15A while searching for the reason my flashers stopped working

B8200 lost lights and dash power

So, I have the wire diagram but still can't find the fuses. Are they i the dash? They are not under the air cleaner. Seems like mechanically every thing works. Just no gauges or lights.

Thanks. I'll look under the air filter. It starts...but no oil light, fuel gauge flasher, or headlamps

B8200 lost lights and dash power

Hi. I lost dash and lights but it still can start a run. Where the heck is the fuse panel?...sorry for the basic question, but I would think it would be out in the open. I think I shorted something out while searching for the reason for my flasher not working.

    Discontinued part,

Not sure if this helps, but ive been having luck with "Gernambliss" over Messicks in finding older parts for my B8200. Being a discontinued part may effect your results though. Good luck

    Rodents / mice / chipmunks

we are infested around here and I was desperate. They nested overnight on my valve cover I sprayed fluid film under the tractor and in the engine compartment. It leaves a bad taste in their mouth and is slippery for them to maneuver. Haven't seen them or any new rust since. Keeping the hood...

What next after initial diagnosis failed

I was panicked a bit. Thought it was a spun rod, or bad hydraulic pump....explain those costs to my wife for a 32 yo tractor...but, it's back to purring

What next after initial diagnosis failed

Thank you. Turns out the fan was contacting the shroud

What next after initial diagnosis failed

OK...I promised I would report back and I am happily embarrassed. It turned out the bottom portion of the shroud was bent and the fan blade was grazing it; making the noise. I must have bent it a bit while putting it back in and didnt realize it. Its just thin sheet metal.

What next after initial diagnosis failed

now it appears to be the dynamo bearing,,,I hope. I chase the noise down and it is definitely coming from the front of the motor. You would think this would be easier to pin down. Ill have the front end rebuilt before i find it ;-). Im going to pull the belt off and check the dynamo for play...

What next after initial diagnosis failed

Good point...i did leave that out. It does increase with RPMs respectively and it also changes when I engage the HST...even though I am not attempting to move the machine, when the pedal is let out the clacking gets a bit worse than when it is disengaged. Also, one more weird thing is my RPMs...

What next after initial diagnosis failed

So, I heard a sudden raspy/clacking noise coming from my B8200. I shut it down and long story short I suspected the water pump bearing was shot as it was wobbly. Replaced it but the noise is still there. This is a 1990 B8200 HST-D 4wd with a BF 350 loader and a 3PH woods BH750. My FEL seems to...

    B8200 water pump change out

    It does...so i will be removing both. Hood is easy, just had it off the repaint. The radiator...well...ill figure that out when I get there. Still looking for torque specs for the pump (if they exist}

    B8200 water pump change out

I think the 7200 is fairly similar in build. Did you need to take the radiator out or were you able to access by removing the shroud/fan?,

    B8200 water pump change out

I heard a sound like raspy foil coming fromt he front of the motor. very sudden actually. I shut it down and the fan/shaft are wobbly. Im assuming it is this pump causing the issue though i really dont see a leak yet
