Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

There are lots of good designs on this site that you can search for. Here's my go at it. I just have an inexpensive 110 Volt unit. It generally does the job for the things that I need done. One caveat: With my first attempt I put the expanded metal on the inside of the grill guard, but I found...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

Very nice setup! Guaranteed you'll love it! If you end up needing 2 hydraulic rear hookups n the future, you can get a hydraulic multiplier from summit. The extra hydraulic lines would come in handy if you have a hydraulic top link or go for a top and tilt setup. Also if you opt for a flail...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

As I have always understood it, even here in New Jersey, that's just the name of the tool. I think you are correct as far as the derivation of the name. All I know is, at the time I was digging that hole when a motorized post hole digger went nowhere, that thing was the best invention since...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

As others have mentioned, rear remotes are very useful in that you can add a top and tilt to your three point. This comes in extremely handy when utilizing 3 point implements such as a rear blade, box blade, or land plane to manage your gravel driveway. I originally purchased my tractor with 2...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

I did not get the air ride seat. If I had to do it again, I would likely go for it. I weigh just over 190 pounds. If I am running the tractor at 5MPH or more and go over a bump in the pasture the seat will definitely bottom out, despite having the tension adjustment at maximum, which likely...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

Prices have certainly risen since I purchased in late 2020. They used to have a really good equine discount, which is still there but not as good as it was previously. Definitely check out Midstate/Eagle Power on Route 31. Prices were roughly similar, but the guys at Mid State seemed more...

Thinking about going from B2601 to L series

I'm right down the road from you and Bridgewater. We have just over 30 acres, about two thirds forest, the rest pasture, home, eventual barn, and about 1/4 – 1/3 of a mile of gravel drive. I have a cabbed L6060 with backhoe as well as a front mounted snowblower. All seems to work for me in this...

New MX 4900 on the way - Cab features?

I have a radio(bluetooth enabled) and use it all the time. I use hearing protection as well. Noise level in the cab is high when running at above ~1500 rpm. I just turn up the volume so I can hear it with hearing protection on.

Need advice on gravel driveway repair

Lots of good advice above. I have used both a box blade as well as a land plane for maintenance on my roughly thousand foot gravel driveway. For maintenance purposes, the landplane is definitely the better tool. Before I purchased that, I did use my box blade, which can definitely do the job...

    Maintenance Time, the works

No 300hr hydraulics maintenance listed in the operator's manual for the Lxx60s. Are you doing your maintenance early, late or have the recommendations changed?

What is best position for changing hydraulic filters? L3560 50 hr maintenance

In from the side, in front of the rear tire. Have a shop vac on the filler port to minimize fluid loss. Have a strap wrench available. They are a bear to remove the first time, with minimal room for removal equipment.

    Removing BH92 Backhoe

Agree with the above. No sledge should be needed. the pins on my BH92 slide out by hand.

    Thread size bolt holes L6060

Sure, thanks! On the one hand, cheaper to just asked some of the very knowledgeable people on this site regarding anything Kubota. On the other hand, looks like a great addition to any toolbox, I'll likely add one to mine.

L6060 and Snowblower L4474 mounting video?

With regard to the mid-PTO lever, I had mine fall down and disengage on its own at times in the past. Recently hasn't been an issue. I do give it a firm pull up and once I get PTO up to speed it wasn't an issue on my last run a couple of weeks ago. If it just continues to fall despite your...

    Rear Hydraulics

I have a Summit 2x multiplier on my L6060. Works well. Sounds like you may need a 3x multiplier for your needs.

L6060 and Snowblower L4474 mounting video?

Take a look at these videos. The 4 point hitch hook up is the same as with my L2195 blower and for making the connection to your blower you can likely reverse the action you see on the Rock River Acres vid.
