Anyone have pictures of a Grand L 60 grill they welded up?

I have my expanded steel and have a plan but was curious to see any pictures of how other jobs have dealt with the split grill / articulation folding forward part.
I know what I want to do but I’m interested in seeing how others have solved that!

Here's my go at it. I just cut the expanded metal into pieces and welded them separately onto the front of the grill guard. No issues with the articulation with this method.

That’s pretty close to what I was thinking of except I was gonna weld to the back. Mostly because I don’t want to look at sad welds

Be careful if you weld to the backside of the grill guard. I did that initially and had to cut off my work because there was not enough clearance for the hood to open. Also, paint does a reasonable job hiding a beginners' welds(as you can see).

I have been trying to convince my buddy to weld a cover over his L3560. He just ignores me. I saw him using his grapple over the weekend and he was pushing into a pile of brush and a large pointed log was starting to stick into his grill. I yelled at him before he pushed further into the pile and pierced the grill. He said afterwards he knew it was there. But anyway, I digress.

His grill looks much like mine and I welded on the outside and I stink at welding. Once painted, it will look fine.

I can't take credit. I observed the same thing a good while back on another thread and asked that person how he opened his grill and he said it was a two piece. So, I just did a copycat. It was very simple to do, even for my limited skills.

So far - the hardest part of this project has been finding a source for the freaking quality (Krylon or Rustolieum) rattle cans in Kubota orange... Ordered some from Grainger last night - not sure if I will actually get them or not

I welded mine on the back of angle iron frames then drilled holes thru the sides to fasten. The bottom section is fastened at the bottom and I think comes against some of the frame to keep it from pushing back. the object in the middle of the lower is the camera that I have so I can change it's location until I find the best spot.

I started messing around tonight with the expanded metal and the guard and how I think these ideas will work for me. I think I have a plan.
Now I need to get the grill off and start actually grinding and welding. But I’m waiting a couple of days until the shipped spray paint shows up to see if it’s for real.
I have been burnt so many times with these supply chain things I can’t do it again!
