Never had a fresh rebuild on any motor do that.

TMG brand 48" reverse rotation tiller

My reverse rotation tiller does a pretty good job of tilling deep, but "burying" rock and debris is not exactly something I'd say it does well. Tends to kick big rocks forward and then when it picks them up and tosses them out the back they are either on or close to the top.

    Telescoping lift arms

Deere or Valtra. Get out your tape measure and make a trip to the nearest tractor salvage yard.

    Baler ?

You might run something like a old Deere 14T. They're on the lighter side of full size square balers. The weight of the baler vs the weight of the tractor is probably going to be a issue even with something as light as a 14. You have that big flywheel hanging out in front of the axle and it...

    Weight and hydraulics

I could be wrong but I believe the load rating is based on the structural load capacity of the tractor components and frame, not the hydraulic pump. The maximum pump pressure is what it is. Lifting load is a result of the length of the lever arms and cylinder diameter.

    Air pressure

AG tire manufacturers all publish load inflation tables for their tires. For the best combination of ride, load capacity, traction, and tire life, inflate to the lowest pressure in the chart for the expected tire load including bolt-on ballast. This may very well mean that you "should" change...

    3-point hitch basics

If using a moldboard plow they must be loose so it will center properly. Most other things, user preference. For me: rear blade and slip scoop - snug, bale spear - almost snug, three point hay tedder - loose, and three point plow and disk loose. But hey, I grew up on fast-hitch tractors so what...

    Question for Plumbers

How did you get under my bathroom to take those pictures?! Same deal here. Exactly! Slow, originally. You can get a lot of soap and scum buildup in the 2 inch galvanized from the tub but it may also be a problem with inadequate venting. There are a couple ways to transition from the iron to PVC...

    I guess

We've had a shelled corn stove for 30 years. Grew up splitting wood and feel your pain. Sure is alot easier to just go get a couple buckets of corn.

    Some days the Dragon wins.

Well heck, I thought this would be a harrowing Deals Gap motorcycle story from the title....... But it's just another tractor tale. I'd straighten that in a heartbeat in the press. You need a press with a wide enough arch that you can get the underside supports wide out as possible towards the...

    Chinese hydraulic pump off ebay

Yeah, do tell. One thing I don't exactly care for on my old M4500 is the hydraulic pump capacity. Being able to fit something of higher capacity would be of interest.

    Engine Rebuild gone wrong?

Welding / brazing - no, iron block, it'll create a hard spot on the inside of the liner. Will likely crack. Epoxy - maybe, if a really good industrial grade. Heat transfer might be different. That appears to be a sleeved block so there's no real issue with combustion sealing after you replace...

    Loose push rod

Likely that either the valve in question is stuck or that you dropped a seat from overheating. Make sure the valve is able to move up and down freely. No? There's your problem. If you can manage to get it unstuck carefully and it's not bent, it might run ok. But it really ought to be replaced...

What in the heck is this on my intake?

I'm not sure how "cool" of an idea it really ever was (literally or figuratively). It was probably a afterthought fix for engines that should have been designed with glow plugs to start with. The 2600 6 cylinder with glow plugs in my M4500 is probably the best cold starting diesel (as in below...

What in the heck is this on my intake?

Normally would have been a glow plug type ignitor thing that would screw into the large hole in the intake. Is there a "spare" wire hanging out anywhere in the general area?

Is a glow plug a glow plug...a glow plug?

Bought NGK from napa several years ago. Cold starts at -20 not a problem. At the time they were $15 a piece cheaper than Kubota. When you're buying 6 it adds up.

Is Kubota Really Thinking About This

Just saying that's what they are working on. When I was a kid 50 years ago on the dairy farm NOBODY dreamed of robotic milking stations where a cow would walk up and get herself milked with nobody around, and then walk up to a feeding station where she'd get just the right amount of feed based...

Is Kubota Really Thinking About This

You are missing the point. The argument is that they would have multiple smaller units working concurrently, probably in multiple locations. The argument has some merit. Such as: Improved soil conditions and reduced yield loss due to compaction. Shortened planting season. Reduced overall labor...

    Tire Chain Tensioners

I use the ball type bungee cord loops (like they use for canopies and etc) and just go as far as they will reach between links on the outside chain loop. Two maybe three each side of the tractor depending on how I feel. Flip the ball through a couple times so they don't pop out. They are cheap...
