    BX 2360 fan belt replacement

I did this on my 1860. While not the easiest job in the world, it’s doable. Here’s a link to my post after doing this: https://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/threads/for-anyone-considering-changing-bx-belt.43070/ As the post says, the hardest part was getting the belt to ride up over the...

    BX1860 Steering Stop Bolt

Hey, thanks @mikester! I was just returning here to say that I found some extra steering bolts in my stash; not sure why I bought them but I did so yay. Also, I found the recommended spec in the workshop manual under "Front Wheel Steering Angle".

    Note to Self…

Ha - great stories here. Clean-up has started; thankfully we have (well, had) a ton of cat litter. Most of the oil is now absorbed - time to move onto the refill (after checking to make sure all plugs are in).

    Note to Self…

For those of you needing a chuckle, I give you the result of neglecting to reinstall the pressure relief valve before cycling the hydraulics. In case your wondering, the fluid does shoot pretty far.

    BX1860 Steering Stop Bolt

Hi- I noticed the other day that I somehow bent the steering stop bolt on the left-hand side of the tractor, which I'd like to replace. I'm hoping I can grab something at the hardware store but am not sure of this size; anyone know the size and pitch? I'm guessing it's metric, but I suppose I...

Did I Break 4WD on my BX?

I had some time off this week and was able to look at this a little more. With the front wheels off the ground, and the 4wd lever engaged, the front wheels spin independently of each other - not spinning in opposite directions. I removed the cover from the driveshaft and could see no broken...

Did I Break 4WD on my BX?

Good points all. The tractor has about 400 hours on it. I can’t say I work it hard, but I do what I consider normal tractor stuff. At the time this occurred I was using my grapple to move a brush pile. Other than that, it’s mainly used for mowing in the summ and plowing in the winter. I...

Did I Break 4WD on my BX?

Thanks - I have a place to start looking, which is helpful. Fingers crossed it’s easy-ish to diagnose and fix!

Did I Break 4WD on my BX?

Good point and she was standing to my left, and vantage point was such that she was looking at me/the tractor from the side.

Did I Break 4WD on my BX?

Thanks all. I’m getting that sinking feeling based on the responses. In answer to this point, my wife said that the left front was spinning faster than the other wheels… which doesn’t sound good. I was very focused on looking at the front left, while my wife had a better vantage point to...

Did I Break 4WD on my BX?

Sorry about that - what I meant that they were not turning in opposite directions, but instead I'd turn one of the wheels by hand and the other did not move. I did this on both sides, with the front end up in the air, and the result was the same. One wheel spins, but the other does not move...

Did I Break 4WD on my BX?

Hi- Over the weekend I was out with my tractor, in the woods, doing some grapple work. I had my Kubota BX1860 in 4wd and everything seemed to be fine. As I was backing up, I noticed the front, left tire start to spin quite fast (faster than the other tires) and the axle seemed to be making a...

BX23D Breather Vent added to Front Axle

Nice looking solution and something I’ve toyed with doing for a while. Did you tap and thread a hole in the bolt, then screw in that elbow? If so, what size? What did you attach to the end in the engine compartment?
