    New to me Atlas Lathe

Is that a Precision Matthews mill in the background? I'm running out of room in my shop and am seriously considering a good benchtop mill or similar in size as yours for all the small projects that come along.

    Machine Shop Safety Reminder

Wedding rings and electrical technicians just isn't a good combination! My wedding band has been in the top drawer in it's little box since day one. I know a guy who found out how well gold conducts electricity and has a permanent burn scar in the shape of his ring on his ring finger. And...

Not Sure What To Say !!

Crazy things do happen: A former co-worker's son (early 20 yrs old at the time) went bear hunting alone in the woods of northern Minnesota. He had his spot picked out and stand built prior to the hunt. At the start of the hunt, he had very quietly hiked out to his stand in the pitch black...

Kubota L3560 and Grand L 60 Series Winter Front Covers Now Available

@Old School2 Your covers look just fine and will certainly function just as well. It's surprising isn't it, finding out just how much time goes into making what seems like such a simple set of covers! There's not only the ever increasing cost of the materials, but the amount of wasted...

The Kubota L2550 that slipped through my fingers!!

Thanks, and yes it is very nice older machine. I think original owner actually purchased it right around 1990. So, 30 plus years ago. It was really tempting not to pass it up! But the new owner has a nice lakeside cabin on a prime walleye lake. I forsee a great fishing weekend in the near...

The Kubota L2550 that slipped through my fingers!!

Another option was to bend the tab on the voltage regulator coil to increase spring tension on the coil’s clapper arm. Bright and early the next morning: I found the regulator had no adjusting screw for setting the voltage level. And the tab to be bent for more spring pressure looked too stout...

The Kubota L2550 that slipped through my fingers!!

But not before we fixed a couple of small issues. Last spring, a close friend and former co-worker suffered a serious stroke on his rural 28 acre homesite. It became evident he and his wife wouldn’t be able to continue living there. With their two children living out of state, we’ve helped out...

Kubota LX2610 and LX3310 Winter Front Grille Covers

@Rbell6 I still make these covers as needed or asked for. Here's a link to the patterns I do have: Custom Made Winterfront Kits for your Kubota Tractor | OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota I don't believe I have a pattern for the models you are asking about. However, I'd be happy to...

Kubota L3560 and Grand L 60 Series Winter Front Covers Now Available

I stopped into on of our local Kubota dealers to show them these covers and check the fit on a couple of Kubota's new models. @CdnSldr.ret pics above show the fit better than the ones I took of the dealer's Kubota L6060, as the loader hides alot of the view: Here's a sparkling new Kubota...

Kubota L3560 and Grand L 60 Series Winter Front Covers Now Available

Now THAT's a snow moving machine & setup!! :) Those "tractor tuxedo" covers look great on your rig, too!! Did you notice an increase in your cab heater output when using the covers in those colder temps? There's nothing like moving snow in a toasty warm cab in extremely cold outdoor temps...

    Removing Tie Rods on BX1880

I purchassed some aftermarket boot kits for my brother's BX. They were nice quality and I haven't heard of any issues with them, yet. He's out of state, so I wasn't around for the insallation. We found those kits on ebay. I believe other members here have used them as well.

    Woodland Mills 3pt Stumpgrinder: review

My experience with the WG24 is the same as @dirtydeed above. Exact same tractor as well.....B2650. There's a little "learning curve", but after a few stumps ground, you find out what your particular tractor likes for feed rate, depth of cut depending on tree stump, etc. I've played with...

The talk of deep-frying turkeys reminded me of this true story: Years ago, we’d have a get together on New Year’s Day at my shop for our RC airplane club. A buddy (and prankster, too) who rented storage from me was an expert with the deep-frying process and would deep fry the turkeys for us...

LX2610SU Third function comparison and advice.

I also picked up a Summit 3rd function kit for my B2650, which should be somewhat similar to the replacement LX2610 models. For a look into what it took to install it myself.....see this thread Here. the install was fairly easy when you break it down into the different sections. At the...
