So, on my MX5200, the steering does as you stated (it is in a different place every time I use it), but on my L3901, I have my suicide knob is at the 6 o’clock position every time. Just my observations from mowing my 24 acre field. I had a lot of time on my hands to discover this. LOL

    Are all Quick hitches equal?

I used to have Pat’s hitch on my BX. Wasn’t all that convenient-had to use the pats adjustable bar to try and get it lined up with the implement and the u-bolts would sometimes come loose. Also the top locking clips wouldn’t always stay engaged (would not be locked in place). When I got my...

    Hydraulic Oil Filter is Stuck

Next time....try this. Take a utility knife and 'separate' the filter gasket from metal tractor base. Not to destroy it, but to break loose the seal (bonded) it has with the tractor. Then use filter wrench of choice (I use channel lock filter wrench)

I also have a MX5200 with 6' rotary (RCR1872) and a L3901 with the same rotary cutter (RCR1872). I just finished cutting my 24 acre field (2x-3x a year). My intent was to have my wife mow while I mow, but that's not working out as planned (LOL). Anyway, I mow with the MX in low range, 4 gear...

    Easy BX HST fan replacement

I removed the front DS collar and the spacer-to remove the complete shaft (also put new boots on at that time). It wasn't that bad of a job once your there (use a comfy creeper) on your back. I would do it this way again. However, if you did cut the hump out or use a hole saw to expedite...

    30-06 versus 526

For those calibers, you should be using AR 550 steel. I use that steel, no holes. AR 400 is better for smaller calibers (.22, )

    Are we alone ,,,,

I believe we are not alone. Can't tell me we are the only 'aliens' out there. Also, my father and aunt in this book. They saw "what they believe to be" an alien craft. https://www.amazon.com/West-Virginia-UFOs-Encounters-Mountain/dp/0929915135
