    Coon Problem

I think I figured it out, not rats but mice eating the bait and not tripping the trap. No fresh tracks and cat food and water are back to normal levels, coon was drinking and eating a lot. Thanks for all the input, cameras are a neat idea but I'm trying to cut down on "stuff" since I have way...

    Winter Prep Already?!?!

We are about $350 per ton, no preseason sale this year which is unusual. Cleaned and did annual maintenance last month on pellet stove. Put chains and snow blade on the Kubota yesterday, expecting storm later this week.

    Coon Problem

That's what I was hoping for with the mesh bag of corn. I'll try the cardboard next if I don't get it tonight.

    Coon Problem

No rats, just pack rats and the cats take care of them. These are definitely coons, see the tracks. I did try a mesh bag of corn hanging at the back of the trap so that they would have to reach for it and trip it but they did not go for that.

    Coon Problem

This last, I hope, coon is willy. I can't figure out how it is eating the bait without tripping the live trap, I put the bait as far back as possible. I have two traps, one small and one large and the bait is gone every morning. I have been using corn so today I added some peanut butter and...

    Coon Problem

Went to the feed store and asked about that "yellow stuff", a friend also mentioned it, and sure enough they had some. It actually said "Not for coons", it has the potential of wiping out the barn cats and wife is too attached so we didn't pursue that route.

    Coon Problem

Got one with corn, actually canned corn but it worked, and it was a big one. Now I have a smart one that may take a bit more cunning. Trying peanut butter that was suggested by an animal control person that we know. Cats did not bother the corn or peanut butter, guess my barn cats are not that...

    Another hydraulic hose

Thanks for the suggestions, will see what is available and go from there. Kubota dealer gave me a sleeve, free no charge, when I got the new hose so I'll use it until I can get a better option.

    Another hydraulic hose

Had a hose fail, rubbed against the FEL arm. Trying to figure out how to protect the new one. Had a plastic sleeve around it but I don't think it was heavy enough. Any suggestions? I have some plastic tubing that is heavier and I think I can put it on before I connect it eliminating the need to...

    RO waste drain

Reverse osmosis. Nothing in the manual so I just put about 1/4" into drain line and it worked, no leakage so I call it good. This one is a non-airgap model.

    RO waste drain

Way off topic but does anyone know how far the 1/4" tubing should go into the main drain line?

    Coon Problem

Thanks for all the suggestions. Since I already have live traps the corn bait might do the trick, my barn cats are curious but like said they will learn after a few times, no harm no foul. They are definitely coons, I can read tracks pretty well, plus I don't think any other mentioned species...

    Coon Problem

Any ideas on how to get rid of coons? They are in my barn at night, I see their tracks. I really can't set traps, I have live traps, but also have barn cats that are half wild and I am sure they would get in the traps before the coons. They must come in late because I have not been able to catch...

    Hydraulic Lines

Had 2 more hoses fail this weekend, that makes 5. B2650 is 7 years old and parked in barn when not in use so there should be no sun/weather damage. Hoses are failing not the fittings. Anybody else having issues with 2016 B series hoses? Have to believe there was a bad batch of hose material...

    Do you need a truck?

Try not having a truck where I live, you would stay home a lot during the winter. If I didn't have a truck how would I pull cars and suvs out of the snow drifts?? In fact I have two trucks, F150 and F250, plus everything I own has 4WD. Different parts of the country and different lifestyles...

    Propane question?

Thanks, that explains a lot. I knew a bit and was curious if the old line would be adequate but it probably deteriorates with time, especially with propane. May just get our propane guys to do the complete hook up and conversion just to be safe.

    Propane question?

Getting a new GE gas kitchen range. Called Home Depot local store and also their hotline to make sure they would convert it to Propane and was assured by each that they would take care of it. Got my paperwork, my responsibility list for delivery, and it clearly states in a couple of places that...

    Hydraulic Lines

It's about a foot long, on the FEL. I have found our dealer is quite fair price wise on most of the stuff I have bought from them.

    Hydraulic Lines

From my Kubota dealer, H24504-NAPX 1/4 Hydr hose plus 2 1/4x3/8 #6 JICF straight swivel fittings. With tax it came to $16.81, I was a bit off.

    Hydraulic Lines

The hoses are deteriorating, leaking from hose and not fitting. No rubs/abrasions, no bending or flexing to any degree. These are original hoses, have not had any of the replacements leak so it's not the locations. Always stored inside so no sun damage, just wondered if anyone else had similar...
