No rats, just pack rats and the cats take care of them. These are definitely coons, see the tracks. I did try a mesh bag of corn hanging at the back of the trap so that they would have to reach for it and trip it but they did not go for that.

Went to the feed store and asked about that "yellow stuff", a friend also mentioned it, and sure enough they had some. It actually said "Not for coons", it has the potential of wiping out the barn cats and wife is too attached so we didn't pursue that route.

Had a hose fail, rubbed against the FEL arm. Trying to figure out how to protect the new one. Had a plastic sleeve around it but I don't think it was heavy enough. Any suggestions? I have some plastic tubing that is heavier and I think I can put it on before I connect it eliminating the need to...

Reverse osmosis. Nothing in the manual so I just put about 1/4" into drain line and it worked, no leakage so I call it good. This one is a non-airgap model.

Way off topic but does anyone know how far the 1/4" tubing should go into the main drain line?

Thanks, that explains a lot. I knew a bit and was curious if the old line would be adequate but it probably deteriorates with time, especially with propane. May just get our propane guys to do the complete hook up and conversion just to be safe.

From my Kubota dealer, H24504-NAPX 1/4 Hydr hose plus 2 1/4x3/8 #6 JICF straight swivel fittings. With tax it came to $16.81, I was a bit off.
