    Grapple conversion advice

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes mine is an aftermarket SSQA made by Worksaver. Nice quality and only gripe is the locking arms are not as long so the leverage takes a bit more muscle to lock in place. At the time of my purchase it was a 10-14 day delivery while every other source was a month...

    Dull paint

Elliot's advice is spot on. Obviously tractors are going to be dirty a lot of the time and that's a given. I agree though if your tractor looks nice it goes in tandem with the probability it has been well maintained and kept up overall. I bought my tractor new in 09 and have used the H out of it...

    HF Quick Hitch questions...again

The SpeeCo is a good option. Also use 1/2" receiver pins to replace the bolts in the upper hook making it far faster to change hook positions. You may have to ream the adjustment holes.

    Root Ripper BXpanded

That tooth ripper is definitely a game changer...lol. I've ordered the BXpanded ripper and should come in a week. Got about 7-8 stumps left to go. Wanting to speed up the process and with the positive comments I'm optimistic. Even small tools make a difference.

    Root Ripper BXpanded

Ok, yes this is the kind of info I am looking for. Yes, I know I have a BX and know it's limitations. I have dug a lot of stumps out up to 16-18" diameter and it takes a lot of time. One of the stumbling blocks on some stumps is getting the dirt out from under it. Actually I have used a power...

    Root Ripper BXpanded

Curious how well the bxpanded root ripper works for digging or loosening dirt underneath stumps? The difficulty with using the hoe bucket for stumping is the limits in curling bucket and getting dirt loose under the stump and major roots. Anyone have input if this ripper tooth can curl under and...

    Tar River Grapple

Yep, after selling my old grapple because unable to convert it to SSQA I sure miss it. At 75 yr old I can't drag a lot of crap around by hand like I used to. Just want one that isn't going to bend like tin foil and welds worse than mine and mine are horrible. Thanks

    Tar River Grapple

Good to hear. A local implement dealer near me has a few in stock at a decent price. I really don't need rugged duty grapple at this point. Just handy when a tree falls and needing fast clean up. Really wanting a Homestead but by the time I pay for lift gate I'm into more than I want to spend...

WTB used single Precision Add A Grapple

Shoot.....a single would have been perfect. Yea, my bucket is 48". Appreciate the EA link and price is ok but the wait time is such an issue with them. Thanks!

    Tar River Grapple

Recently sold my extinct BX size Landpride small grapple. Switched to SSQA and looking into 54-55" clam and ran across Tar River and not finding many details or info. Finally found a Belco Resources link and got an answer the grapple is made in Poland. Anyone have any experience with this brand?

WTB used single Precision Add A Grapple

Just want a used small unit for my BX24 to move brush and small logs around. Hoping to keep below a grand and no more than 3-4 hour drive from Columbus, OH. I like Precision being made in USA.

Wicked 55 root rake grapple .

I agree with you about durability as that makes sense when considering large tractors and more commercial use. I'm thinking the BX size grapple is more than adequate for residential use.

Wicked 55 root rake grapple .

Just sold my older extinct Landpride grapple and researching SSQA for my BX24. Seems difficult to find anyone who isn't back logged with long wait times and I ran across Homestead with their Independence series at a good price point and supposedly 2 week delivery. I've not heard much about...

    Grapple conversion advice

Yes, you are absolutely correct as I found out after measuring. I really like having that rake type grapple although I have completed most all of major brush clearing. I'm torn whether to keep it and go thru the hassle of putting my old style kubota quick hitch on and off when needed or maybe...

Backhoe Dolly Failure. Is your dolly wood or metal?

A suggestion for any wood supporting the weight of a backhoe would be far stronger used on edge rather than flat. It appears the caster bolts are near the edge of 2x in both directions and wood grain will split pretty quickly lying flat. I built my wooden dolly out of two pieces of 3/4" plywood...

    Grapple conversion advice

I've recently changed my BX24 Kubota old style quick adapter to a ssqa. I have a small land pride grapple with the old style quick connect and wondering if it's worth the money to buy a ssqa adapter plate and pay to convert it or just sell it along with the old style quick adapter that I no...

LA240 Loader to Skid Steer Quick Attach Adapter

I appreciate any response over none at all. As for the capability of the BX I've had since purchasing it new in 2009 I have lost count of the number of stumps I've removed on my 8 acres. Some as large as 24" diameter. With patience and understanding how to use the hoe it can be done. I'm only...

LA240 Loader to Skid Steer Quick Attach Adapter

Trying my best to find a skid steer quick attach adapter for my BX24 and it seems impossible to find. Wanting to purchase a stump bucket and most all are skid steer quick attach. Anyone know where to find one of these in stock? Suggestions of how to convert an old style kubota quick attach into...
