I had that problem when reinstalling my bucket for the first time. I relieved the pressure by pushing up into the fitting with the piece of 1/4 round stock, the fluid came out and the pressure was relieved so the connection could be made.

On that first archive post, you mentioned that red fuel was the same, I was under the impression that the red fuel was still low sulfur not the ultra low stuff . Dont know where I heard that but was wondering if that was true.

I never buy fuel if I see the big fuel truck there filling the tanks and stirring up all the sediment at the bottom...... Of course he coulda just left.

Some interesting ideas and info here, thanks. There's definitely more attachments available to do chores I never thought about being able to do with my tractor. I still dont see a "light duty", bolt on the bucket, multi fingered attachment, that would rake through the soil and dislodge salmon...

I looked in the Northern catalog also and didn't see anything. I would be using it on my Allis Chalmers D15 so I was thinking something with a few steel fingers to rip down through the soil. Maybe something would need to be fabbed up that could be bolted to the bucket.

Is there an attachment available that can be bolted to the bucket for ripping out small roots (salmonberry himalayaberry) ? Something like the pallet forks for "light duty".

Thanks, I did find helpful info assuming that most Kubotas use the same general design in tach drive and cables. Sounds like lubing the cable with grease every couple years is recommended so I think that answers my question about installing the new cable without having to pull the instrument...

Yep, that was my problem. The cable parted at the engine end just like UnionMan suggested. I called the dealer and was told I must replace the entire cable (cable & jacket). I'm wondering if just the new cable couldn't be inserted up into the engine end of the old jacket (11 hours on it). Didn't...

With only 11 hours on the tractor the tach/houmeter quit. Doing a search didn't turn up any useful information and the dealer I bought my L3800 is a long way off. I'll give them a call but does anyone have any ideas?

I mowed my pastures for years with my 64 AC, D15 plus FEL. I have the AC hitch so I needed a three pt adapter on my 5" Kodiak bush hog. Mowing with my new L3800 without the FEL and adapter is a real pleasure.

Good, Thanks Tomorrow I'll call about getting a couple P/U loads of crushed rock and a load of screenings to put on top. I use quarter minus on my 500+ foot driveway and it packs nice and tight, trouble is when it rains it tracks in the house.

Some good suggestions, thanks all. I will go with the larger crushed rock. I am assuming the reason a hard floor is needed is the elevation difference between FEL and tractor must not change. Any change would make it very difficult to get the FEL back on? Or maybe theres a little lee way when...

I always carry an extra fuel filter (plus the tools to change it) in my diesel cars so I guess I'll carry one aboard the new L3800. Gota get an amo box to replace that wimpy plastic tool box.
